Please define God.

P.S - A concept has a genus and a differentia. The role of the definition is to describe both.

Someone who has the power to stop all the suffering and evil in the world, but refuses to do so.

In short: a sadist.

God is our Creator and Savior who is all-powerful and loves us unconditionally. He has always been and will always be. God is Love.

EDIT: Ooooh, I stand corrected. Here we all thought you actually had an inquisitive question. I didn't recognize you were a troll in disguise; nice cover.

When you post a question on Y!A, you are going to get each person's individual opinion of how THAT PERSON define's God. If you want THE official, authoritative definition of God, someone should throw you a dictionary. Here, let me help you: http://www.webster.com/dictionary/God .

Re. thinking for myself. I choose to follow the teachings of God and Jesus in the Bible. If you want to call that 'not thinking for myself' then I definitely qualify. Have a good day anyway.

Define -
A statement of the meaning of a word, phrase, or term, as in a dictionary entry.
The act or process of stating a precise meaning or significance; formulation of a meaning.
God -
A being conceived as the perfect, omnipotent, omniscient originator and ruler of the universe, the principal object of faith and worship in monotheistic religions.
The force, effect, or a manifestation or aspect of this being
P.S. You categorize and limit God as a concept rather than the truth. My own defintion of God is that God is the truth.

as a scienist, i knew the emptiness of an atom, who electrons are so small, that only one millionth part of that atomic
value is occupied, I also knew that the human body is compose of such "empty" atoms that you and i are actually
999,999,999,999 parts empty space!

LEE CHESTNUT, former muclear science lecturer andauthorof THE ATOM SPEAK AND ECHOES THE WORD OF GOD,
that this emptiness must be filled up with something: either the Spirit of GOD or spirit of evil/satan. As he said , "You and I must decided between satan or The Lord Jesus Christ, and which is to occupy and fill our lives. when Christians read of this, surely they will be convicted..them not having Jesus, might understnad, what is that missing in my life..I hope you consider what this scienist said, which if Facts about JESUs existance as well satan..lots of folks got wealth and stuff, still empty on the inside...
I BELIEVE you're smart enough to figure it out..what a man think in his heart(spirit fill with GOD or satan or confuse inbetween..i've notice)..is what the mouth speaks.
what is stored up in a man heart the mouth speak..eithe rof good or evil
man shall reap whatsoever he said.
words are like a weed or a fruit seeds..it take time for it to develop..and the harvest time..either be poverty of soul, spirit and body finances..of whatever they/we sown..last week..last night..or couple decades ago.

Sorry Doug, but taking time to define Someone Who is INFINITE would be a huge waste of time when the time could be spent actually DOING something FOR Him.

God is the spirit or soul.
Jesus is the face of God.
the Holy spirit is the voice of God.

Like parts of your body (hands, feet, arms,) they make up the whole.

Peace & God bless from Texas. <><

You could ask God to define himself.

God's answer: I am

Exodus 3:14
And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
