Maybe not 100% exactly, but His expectations and teachings would be more aligned to the Church than to any of the protestant churches I've been affiliated with.
I don't say that I know all there is to know about all the protestant churches, but from what I do know, the Church is in my opinion doing God's will on earth most fully.

Jesus is the High Priest of the Catholic Church. So why wouldn't the expectations of the Church be the same as the the expectations of Jesus?

Yes.
The mission of the Church is to proclaim and establish the Kingdom of God begun by Jesus Christ among all peoples.
For more information, see the Catechism of the Catholic Church, sections 767-769: http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/pt1sect2chpt3art9.htm#767
With love in Christ.

Squirrel,
The Roman Catholic Church is THE CHURCH instituted by Jesus Christ. It is the people that have fallen short of His expectations.

The curious thing about the Church
is that, since it is the mystical Body of Christ, it exists before it
has any members, since the animating life of the Church is not you or
me, but the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ. It is He, not we, who makes it
holy. That is why we can speak of the Church as holy, despite the sins
of all and we do mean all its members here on earth. The Lord is our
holiness.

MARTIN LUTHER ADMITTED THAT THE CATHOLIC CHURCH IS THE TRUE CHURCH ESTABLISHED BY JESUS CHRIST
Page 265 reads: “Accordingly, we concede to the papacy that they sit in the true Church, possessing the office instituted by Christ and inherited from the apostles, to teach, baptize, administer the sacrament, absolve, ordain, etc., just as the Jews sat in their synagogues or assemblies and were the regularly established priesthood and authority of the Church. We admit all this and do not attack the office, although they are not willing to admit as much for us; yea, we confess that we have received these things from them, even as Christ by birth descended from the Jews and the apostles obtained the Scriptures from them.”

How is anyone to see an evolved person is to prefer kleshas and obscured vission over truth and spiritual perspectives like love and respect served. Are we actually in a world without boundaries and with proper respect for all mankind. Not really, this is all about making money and seeing truth in own deeds, in proper efforts, and through nonatachment. If you keep efforts and proper vission of the world, eventually you too become harmonic with the world, even if other people do not respect you for a while. This is spirituality, hence it is said: love those who hate you, if you love those who love you you will have no reward. These are Christ words, are they not.
Peace be with you. Agnus Dei.

Nope. Jesus was jewish! Besides, he was all about welcoming everyone, excluding noone, and being peaceful. The Catholic Church seems to have a bit more exclusivity than Jesus would have like, from what I've read of Him.

expectations - yes, i do.
Christ expects us to accpet Him as their Saviour - this is what the Rcc teaches and knows you have to accept.
Christ expects us to love one another as He has loved us - this is what the church teaches and works hard at practicing - while some fall short. let us not forget that even Peter denied Christ and Thomas doubted Him.
Christ died and rose for our sins - HE is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world -- the Rcc teaches and prays this daily.
Christ instituted the act of the Eucharist - Do this in rememberance of Me - this is the whole premis of the mass.
Christ taught us to do good things - love, charity to the least of My brothers - once you accept Christ - the Rcc teaches that this becomes your mission in life - to live as Christ taught - doing for others.
Christ gave people gifts - some teach, some learn, some lead, some serve, etc. The Rcc appreciates and respests all those roles.
Christ told His disciples to go and be fishers of men - the Rcc has numerous charitable & missionary organizations.
Christ taught that we are all sinners. He gave His disciples the ability to retain or forgive & taught us to confess with our mouths. The Rcc gives us the ability to confess out loud (in the confessional) to a priest who can help us come to grips with our sins and talk us through in a spiritual manner, while maintaining confidence. unlife a shrink, the priest helps us through biblical teachings and understands the premise f our faith.
Christ instituted the sacrament of Baptism with water and Spirit - the Rcc does this to help bring Christ's people to Him.
Christ loved His Father in heaven and His Mother on earth - the Rcc understands and respsects both of these. They know that it is only through God that all things are possible.
Christ's live, death on the cross & ressurection saved us all -- this is the taching of the Rcc.
*i do not expect Christ to want HIs people (ANY of His people) to sin against Him and imo it pains Him greatly when men & women who claim to have dedicated their lives to Him fall short - especially those in authority.

NO!!!! the catholic church has been in it's history the most unreligious, money grabbing cooperation in the world, there is no more immoral church and it's tendancy to make up stories to frighten it's flock as well as the fact that 9far from embracing outsiders as one leading figure of the christian faith suggested) they ex-comunicate people for offences that to a normal person would seem completely reasonable- i believe a lesson about stone throwing is neccesary.
