"Busted"? Is there a law against it? Frankly, if peer pressure is that important to you, you are not mature enough to date anyone. You're likely to be pressured into doing the wrong things. If you're asking this question, then my answer is stop just to save him from the drama you're making out of it. Has someone said something to you or are you just being shallow and assuming that it will be a problem? The fact that you're so concerned about what strangers think tells me it's a bad idea as you care more about your "reputation" than the person you're with.

This is such a touchy, hurtful subject.
It is a decision only you can make.....however....... I grew up in a very small (all white) community and can tell you that it would have been devastating to my reputation and family had I dated outside my race.
Now that I am an open minded adult, if I wanted to date outside my race, I would.
I think since you are young, you should ask your parents what they think because at your age, your decisions affect your entire family.
I wish I could tell you to just do whatever you feel like doing, but realistically, that might not be a wise choice for your future. Whatever you decide to do, you need to remember that people will always remember your decisions, even when you think they are of no consequence.

Hey you need to grow up a whole bunch!! The color of ones skin should have no impact on the way you feel inside and outside!! If you are concerned about what others might think and say, you have problems already!! If you just wanted someone to take care of your sexual needs then you could have done that on your own!! If you have true feelings about this person then it should make NO difference what anyone else says or thinks about your relationship! If you are old enough to be sexually active then you should be mentally aware of how this will impact you and your friend’s feelings. If your friends are true and real friends they will support you in anything you do and not put anyone down just because the color of their skin!
The best of luck!

If you like the guy then see him. Your true friends will support you. Once high school is over you will never see most of the people in your school again, but you may a loving and wonderful relationship with this guy.

Did you mean your "nearly 100% white school? Well why would being with a black guy give you a bad rep? You should be with the person that treats you well. If people are ignorant about it it's their problem not yours.

Why would you get a bad reputation for dating someone of a different race? I would say the people in your school have a real problem.

Decide: are you going to be healthy and have a friendship or relationship with someone you choose, or are you going to let a bunch of jerks dictate who can and cannot be your friends?
Hint- don't worry so much about what people think. Most of those people don't know you enough to really have a worthy opinion...
Good luck.

I am white and been in relationships with all different races. My fiance now is a beutiful black woman. The bottom line is to not let the haters get you down, they just dont understand that this is the new millenium and things are all about multi- cultural dating. Peace and God be with you. Go for it girl.

Well if you love him and he loves you back, and he treats you right, then there's no reason why you should stop, just because other people don't approve. As long as you are happy, and he respects you, then ignore them and stay with the person you love.

You're pretty full of yourself, aren't you?
I'd just make it a point to be seen only with the 'right' kind of people for the rest of your life. Don't stand near any vagrants at the bus stop. Certainly don't pee in 'public' toilets. Absolutely do not have any black folks near unless they are mowing the lawn or shining your silverware.
Being worried about what others think about who you're with - particularly because that other might not be 'good' enough for your side of the tracks is pretty much off-kilter.
People like you make me sick. You're pathetic.
