I don't think you read that in the Bible. I guess it will depend on your source and perspective. If I believe in "In the beginning...." I shouldn't have to much problem with the rest of the Bible. Just because I may not understand completely what's in the Bible doesn't mean it isn't the truth. If you want to put your trust in the source you read fine. Remember though that from a human standpoint and perspective we can't all be right and /or the truth.

yes it is... the old testement says one thing then the new testament says 'no, actually, god's had a rethink and the all powerful creator of the universe (who is always right about everything) was wrong the first time so now he DOESN'T want you to take an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth etc. etc. but he's still pretty keen on the ten commandments'

Some of those things are easily explained or taken out of context, but many are not. Interesting look-through if nothing else. You can't make a serious religious argument without knowing what you're talking about from each side.

No, the Bible doesn't contradict itself because it has one author, the Holy Spirit who moved men to write what God wanted them to. There are errors in translations and there are errors in correctly understanding what different passages of the Bible mean in relation to one another, but there are no contradictions and the original autographs were error free.

God doesn't contradict His word. people do. that's why people don't take the time out to study the bible with a open heart and mind.

No, it's not true. But apparently Satan is here still saying, "Hath God really said?"
