it is any martial arts school that just hands out belts weather you are good or not. It has nothing to do with effectiveness of the art. For example you are taking a martial arts class, and you know you are not good enough to move to the next level especially a high ranking level(red or black), but the teacher lets you test anyway because he wants your testing fee. Instead of telling you that you are not ready. Schools that usually hand out black belts to 5 and 6 years old, just because their parents want them to get it that early and the pay the fees. The better schools usually have guidelines. The school I attended, would not allow you to test for a black belt until you were at least 11 years old, no matter how much the parents pouted. This is why you see some kids with black, and they perform like white or yellow belts, because the teacher allowed them to test because of the fee instead of their skill.

The term-which I must confess I have used a few times describes some of the schools, styles, instructors that have sprung up all over the country to cash in on the martial arts boom. Taking their small amount of knowledge, background, and understanding of martial arts and teaching and promoting people to Black-belt and those Black-belts in turn promoting others so that it propagates and gets more watered down with each successive generation of instructors. Oftentimes the people have little or nothing to compare themselves to until later when they see or meet the real thing and then you hear things like, "that was a waste of my money before".

I've been hearing them a lot too.
From what I hear, it's basically a rip off gym. Kind of like Tiger Schaulmens or whatever they call it. That's a gym that forced an elementary school to use steroids in a tournament. There was another article saying that they mixed steroids into foods served during camps. It's just awful.

Massed produced 'killer' black belts.
Give out black belts to five year olds some times.
Refers to the martial art schools that mass produce students and guarrantee a black belt in a certain amount of time.
