Uh, how about the rest of the world pick up the slack? We 've carrying Nato for 60 years. About time they actually did something (Now in Afganistian). All you crying about Darfur? Egypt, So. Africa, France, etc all have troops. We've done our share & pay the bills for the UN. The least you could do is pick up the damn dinner tip & parking.....

Iran? Work in progress. People said talk. So we are talking...
Syria? Scum, but hands tied at moment.
Cuba? Waiting for ther old man to die. Plus we left them alone as part of the 1962 deal over the missles... I can get a 1955 Chevy easier in Auto trader than Flying to Havana.
China? We need them, they need us. They make stuff, we buy stuff, politics be damned. Still wonder about the Tank man in Tienaman square though........... Who was that guy?

Last but not least, North Korea. Personal Bias: Grandad died on the Pusan Perimeter. I want pay back still. If they even fart, i'd roll the B-52's over Kim house. Period end of story. And I want the Uss Pueblo Back Before they get dime one.

Yes, we have been exhausted by the Iraq war and poor (to be polite) leadership. The world to some extent is ruled by consensus and the US (really Bush) sought to use our military might to take over and dominate the world by having control of the vast oil supply in Iraq. He failed, but will not give up so who knows what else he will try.

For somebody who claims:
******************************...
About me: Spent 6 years in the military. 1969 to 1975.
Two services. Air Force and Navy....... ( Called an OSVET...Other service veteran )

24 years DOD and now retired.

We got beat in Vietnam and it's about time we admit it. And guess what? We will get beat in Iraq too.

The USA will go down in defeat again just like Vietnam.

This Iraq war has been going on too long.

Where is it getting us?

******************************...

NOW WHY DON'T I BELIEVE YOU TROLL???

Because, unlike prior generations, the people do not believe their own cause to be just (whatever anybody believes is dandy-peachy and they will love us back if we hold hands and sing Kum-Bah-Yah) and we have no will to win.
