It IS ok..please tell her don't ever let anyone tell her different!
Tell her that she is free to choose and be independant. She doesn't need to hear other people's narrow ideas of what is proper. If she is being good to herself and who she is with than that is more than many of them have going on.

That is a question that no one has the exact answer. It is a double standard. Many black men date outside of their race to prove they are no longer inferior to the white man. Black men have more to prove than black women. If a black man is successful and has a white woman by his side, he can show the society that he has made it in the world and we all can kiss his you know but those are the same men who frown when they see an attractive black woman with a white guy. As a black woman, our purpose is to uplift and perserve our culture. If we date outside of our race, we are not doing what black society has intended for us to do. Black women are strong powerful creatures and it take a confident strong MAN to be in a relationship with her.

I'm white and I would date a black woman if she was right for me. I don't think there is anything wrong there. Maybe the "sistas" are the problem??

First, before I answer, I love my contacts, but I have to disagree with a lot that was said.
http://www.sptimes.com/2004/10/02/Floridian/Black_women_speak_out.shtml
From birth, we were conditioned to love, honor and respect the black man no matter what. We had to be loyal to the black man to be "true" to our race. Once we went outside of the race, we were considered to be tainted.

Black men see black women with a white man as the ultimate betrayal. She has sold out, and often fear that the white man will be able to offer her something that black men cannot.

It is definately a double standard. Black men do not even want to hear a black woman say that white men are attractive.

Well as a black woman who is dating a white man I can tell you that the reasons are:
1. black men (not all but a lot) look at black women as their personal property. they do not want black women but they don't want anyone else to want black women either. which is why you see so many black men on television putting down black women, it's not that they actually believe that stuff, but they want everyone else to believe it so that they will not want us. this is usually done unconciously but many times quit conciously
2. black women who give us a hard time feel that we are selling out. that we think we are better than them. and often times would like to date outside thier race however, fear the backlash they would receive from the black community and society as a whole.

I was told once that it is because they want to stop the white race. So it is allowed for the black men to date white women, but the black women are to stay in their own race to keep it going strong.
and by the way, I am white and have never been with a black man and not to be against you guys or anything, but I prefer my own race.
and I do have friends that are black. Indian and mexican and white. so I am not racial or anything either. To each their own.

This is a good question. But I agree with ~SexyChocolate~ above, she hit the nail right on the head. Their is a double standard in any race that deals with women who date interracially. Men are expected to be with whoever they want but when a female does it she is subjected to criticism, intolerance, and negativity. Usually, in the black community black women are expected to be solely loyal and devoted to black men regardless of the way some of them treat us and subject us too. But people have the right to date whoever they want openly and freely.

Am white yet i think of by using fact its common to be sure a black guy with yet another race. each physique is used to it, different than white trash KKK participants or perhaps they R loosing up. a number of them think of its a sturdy project. i've got seen this on line. some people think of black adult adult males white women dating will breed black people out by using fact black peeps R this type of minority much greater then Hispanics in any case when I see a black woman with yet another race its greater stunning by using fact u adult adult males R labeled unswerving. I went to the movies final weekend and observed a minimum of four black adult adult males with different races yet on the top of the action picture there replaced into this black woman with a white guy each ones stared at them even the black adult adult males with different races lol! heavily this take place. lol @amazing bunny what video clips? There are somewhat any wm bw couples in the media. There R much greater black adult adult males with yet another race video clips. Hitch, jungle fever, All relating to the Benjamin's, O, the kardashian, coco and ice t, kendra and hank, i won't be in a position to think of of one bw wm in video clips of television.

Righhtttt no one says anything about blk men dating outside the race. Never. Right. Not from the days of Emmit Till up to now. Yeah. That's it.
& blk women just recently begin to date/sleep w/wht men-sure. Not going back to the days of Lena Horne. & secretly because wht men just used them for sex & didn't respect them enough to walk down the street w/them. No? That's the new agenda-huh. Black men are all-wait excuse me SOME (but mostly) (insert a host of neg. things) while blk women are just about all (loyal to a fault, mostly rejected, abused etc. by blk men). & essentially flawless in character. OK, sure.

Sexism. It still exists - unfortunately. Women are often held to entirely different standards than men. I say date whoever you want - makes no difference to me, and it shouldn't make a difference to anyone else.
