Years ago there was Bigg's field. I applied for a Air Force civilian job and the job description said El Paso but wasn't specific.

Geographically, the nearest full USAF base (with all the typical amenities) is Holloman AFB, NM. Holloman is about 90 miles NE of El Paso through the desert and at least one U.S. Border Patrol check station.

There are no Air Force bases in El Paso, but there is an Army Base there and it's called Biggs Army Airfield, Fort Bliss. But with all military branches they have some personnel from other branches come there to train or to work TAD. Hope this helps :)
