only if previously you were not ingesting sufficient calories and had a calcium deficiency. milk is no magical food item like the dairy industry makes it out to be.

I don't know, but I don't think anybody should be drinking milk past the age of three. Check out Dr. Mercola's articles on milk and dairy. BAD for you!!! People who are "lactose-intolerant" are actually just normal, in my opinion. We're ALL lactose-intolerant, if you ask me.

There's no one sure way to lose weight. You have to change your entire diet. You might start by eating a big, hearty breakfast, with protein and whole grains. This will start your digestion processes going and you will burn more calories throughout the day. You'll also feel better and more energetic.

I take a calcium/magnesium/mineral supplement called "Osteo Pro Care" that gives me all the calcium I need. You can also get calcium from soy, green and yellow vegetables, and nuts. Milk is a bad idea.

No, the studies linking low-fat dairy to weight loss have been debunked. It is important to get the RDA for calcium to ward off osteoperosis (not necessarily through dairy, many green veggies have calcium too) but it will not make you thin.
