It sounds like your best bet is to get beyond yourself. It's hard to make friends when you are extremely focused on what you need to get done, where you need to go, why You feel so awful, etc.
It's great to do the terrific activities that you described - don't give them up! But you need to push your comfort envelope a bit and go where the people are - preferably somewhere where you are doing something for someone else as a volunteer. If you don't have the time or finances, then you need to make a conscious effort every day to notice something about each person that you are in contact with... other than how it relates to what you are doing. Something positive about them is best, because then you are free to make a positive comment. But noticing a need works well, too. Do they need to go first in the door? Are they looking a little thirsty?
Think beyond yourself, and friendships will happen. Make a habit of thinking beyond yourself and you will have your choice of friends.

You should try to find the things you enjoy to do the most. That is the best way to relax. It is hard meeting new people and connecting to them. You may have more friends than you think but just too shy to noctice. Next time you are chatting with an associate, ask him or her to join you on a nature hike or something you would both enjoy.

We like to go to Texas to relax and get away from family, jobs, etc. Try San Antonio, there is lots of fun things to see and do i.e. The Alamo, Riverwalk, zoo. Or Port Aransas and Corpus Christi have some nice beaches you can get a spot to yourself and relax in the sun. Be careful of the hurricanes though. Don't go during spring break!

Go out and have some fun on me. You sound like you enjoy adventure, go out and have some fun. Are you kidding me? There is a big whole wide World out there, go out and have fun. Don't sweat the small stuff, you are way too young not to be enjoying yourself. All work, and no play is not good for anybody. Live a little.
Have a good evening and a nice Labor Day.

You should take a cruise. They offer all kinds of great off shore excursions that will get you close to nature. There is also spa specials on certain days that make it very affordable to get a relaxing massage. Try ncl.com they have a lot of great specials going and they offer freestyle cruising.
