It contradicts science altogether. Because it's impossible for a human being to be fully formed in one day, the earth as it stands was not fully formed in 6 days, and the bible says the earth is only 6000 years old. Not true at all.

Contradicts. Evolution contends lower animals attained higher characteristics to become higher forms of life. This life originally began as single cell organisms. These single cells happened by accident in some mud puddle of newly formed earth.
The fact that the greatest of earth's scientists can not accomplish this random (?) act on purpose in the best equipped labs is not supposed to be mentioned.
Evolution also claims to justify that present day man is the highest form of the evolutionary chain. The fact that man in recorded history of 5,000yrs. lived 200 or more years while we make it on average about 70, up from 45 because we relearned to bathe, seems to go against this theory.
Genesis shows animals were created according to their Kinds. Cats breed cats, dogs--dogs, etc. Evolution requires them to all be related fish turning into mammals turning into reptiles into animals with legs. Oddly, no such in-between creatures have ever been found. Only the Genesis account is proven by the fossil record. Did the earth have a part in a giant conspiracy theory to hide evolutionary evidence? Must be. Science is never wrong. The earth is flat. Don't wash your hands or anything as there are no such things as germs. Nothing is smaller than the head of a pin. Yet science once thought all the things to be true. They had to change their minds after overwhelming evidence was dumped on them. They are determined to hold the line on evolution though. Any science project that hopes to get any grant money had better be a card carrying evolutionist one and all.

The main, literally blatant contradiction is in the timelines and the apparent "miraculous" way things "happened". The rest is assumed to be contradictory due to individual sects interpretations ... rather than just having some facts not being present in the narratives. Darwin believed in God, but not all scientists do, and not all don't. The theory of evolution and the Genesis account are not that badly at odds except in interpretation by some sects of belief.

It depends on Who you talk to and How you look at it. Genesis is the ancient man attempting to classify species and origin of the races in Genesis Chapters 9-10..
You will also find mind/body correlation in Proverbs 14:30, the Laws of Quarantine/Hygeniene in ancient terms in Leviticus 7:22-24, Leviticus 13:46. Modern Scientists proved out those theories in scientific terms. Even Weather forcasting in Matthew 16:2-3 in ancient terms.

Contradict.
Glad you remember evolution is a theory.
Darwin's book is entitled The ORIGIN of the Species.
Not much to chew on there then..............
Big Bang = creation ex nihilo so the creationist and evolutionist agree.
Speed of light? - check below - some of us think it used to be instantaneous................... and is slowing in accordance with the 2nd law of thermodynamics.............................
How does it?
Because the Bible states In the beginning GOD -
evolution disposes of God or an intelligence and leaves you with no moral base no past no sensible present and definitely no future - the greatest evils ever done by man have always been perpetrated by those who thought themselves gods - Caesars / Hitler / Stalin and puleeeeze do not tell me Hitler was a Christian. he wasn't.
It is never good science to ignore anomalous data or to eliminate a conclusion because of some presupposition. Sir Henry Dale, one-time President of the Royal Society of London, made an important comment in his retirement speech: "Science should not tolerate any lapse of precision, or neglect any anomaly, but give Nature's answers to the world humbly and with courage." To do so may not place one in the mainstream of modern science, but at least we will be searching for truth and moving ahead rather than maintaining the scientific status quo.

Genesis creation story consists of 4 or 5 verses to sum up entire Universe.
While Biology and Astronomy consists of 70 million pages of research and evidence for better and accurate explanation.

Interestingly, the qur'an syas that god created the earth in two days (41:9) and that it took four days to [apparently] make mountains and ordain foods (41:10). Then we had seven heavens created in two days (41:12). Even modern muslim scholars have figured out that "day" has to refer to a period of time in order for the passages to have contemporary meaning. See Holy Qur'an, Arabic text, english translation and commentary by Maulana Muhammad Ali, pp. 907-908, nn. 2199 and 2201a.
I wonder if ancient islamics believed that creation was completed in literal days and have now abandoned that in light of science that makes that thesis unworkable?
But I digress. If muslims can change the meaning of their holy writ to accomodate science, surely christianity can as well.
It also indicates to me that at least muslims acknowledge that a literal translation of instantaneous creation at this point in history is silly. Creation and science are in contradiction.
