I care about myself, I have been trying to lose weight for 3 years, and I am still overweight because it IS hard.
I actually gained weight while I was training for a marathon, how the hell does that happen?? I have no idea.
I workout all the time, and I can outlast a LOT of women a lot thinner than me. But I have a lot of issues resisting food, so I tend to lose a lot of weight, and then gain it back.
It's a mental and emotional battle for me that never gets easier... and healthy food costs a lot more than the crap.
I think it's a little rude of you to say "losing weight isn't hard". Anyone who says that I say has never HAD to lose more than about 5 or 10 pounds. I agree that losing 5 or 10 pounds is easy. But keeping it off, and continuing to lose to reach your goal... that is a LOT more difficult.
The schedule that most people are required to keep today in order to just pay bills also isn't very conducive to losing weight. Nobody has time to work out anymore. I have to force myself to wake up at 4:30 AM in order to work out first thing... otherwise it just won't happen later in the day.

Life is too easy today, that's the way my Dad puts it, and he's in great shape at 62. Many schools have eliminated Physical education, kids are on their "hind-ends" playing video games and snacking. Fast food restaraunts are everywhere, not enough households (families) sit down to a well-balanced home-cooked meal anymore. There used to be only a few TV channels, now there are hundreds and TV is on 24 hours a day. People sitting and snacking and complaining about their weight. And not caring about themselves too.

Losing weight is not easy for everyone. Some people have thyroid issues that cause their weight problems. Some people have health conditions that prevent them from exercising properly, so they can't lose the weight. And yeah, some people don't care. But don't assume that all people with a weight issue are too lazy to do something about it. They might be working at it really hard with little results.

You sound very vein. Some people lack the motivation you seem to have, so don't assume it's easy for everyone to lose weight. People have different body types and genetics. Another major reason theres so many is because the healthier food costs more and the cheap fattening food is plentiful and everywhere.

I cant belieave you would actually ask this question! This makes you sound like a rude person, one of those people that see a fat person and point and laugh. One of my best friends is on the overweight side but she is in shape. She plays soccer 3 times a week the whole year, but she cant help the way she looks. And not to mention ahe is one of the prettiest girls i know.

I do care about myself. unfortunately when I was 4to 18 years old I started being sexually abused food was my weapon.I used it to hide my feelings. It was an addiction and still is.Its like Heroin.I haven't had problems with food ever since I could remember I look at it and gain and gain.So YES i resent the fact you think people do not care enough about themselves. So now I am in counseling and I am losing the weight with no help from insensitive people like you.Oh and by the way it is hard through my lifetime I have lost over 1000 lbs it was no CAKE walk!

there r many many MANY reasons for a person to be overweight....but thats not the problem....people who r overweight just need to lose a couple of pounds(like me) n its VERY hard to lose those last few. the real problem is obesity....once u get that big surgery is sometimes the only option...some people cant help their weight but most of them CAN but r too lazy....i work out every day n still weigh 175. n i had my baby 2 years ago!!! i just have a large frame and my heritage doesnt help it at all....not all people can afford a personal trainer or exercise equiptment so if you dont like lookin at us then DONT. i'm so sick of people runnin their mouths b/c if u were fat we'd all make fun of u 2! try not to be so ignorant and blatently disregard everyone elses feelings....dont be so self centered!

I dont know. I think when you get older it can start to creep up on you. Like take me for instance, I'm hot but i have gotten a little thicker over the past 2 yrs then i wanted to. I want to work out and I have plans to as soon as I graduate school. I work full time, go to school full time, and I'm doing an externship where I get to work for free yay! I'm just tired by the time I get home and then have homework to do. Not entirely meaning that I'm lazy. Just busy.
And by the way, we're not all 15 yrs old still going through puberty.

Just be happy it's something you don't have to deal with. There are many reasons why one would be over weight, some are physical, psychological, and yeah laziness. There are those that are physically addicted to over eating, chemical reaction in the brain.

Did you ever stop and think for a moment that they might have
a gland or chemical imbalance? Be care full how you judge
others because GOD will judge you in the same manner. It
might be whats in YOUR heart or something else. Change
your out look on outside appearances, lest GOD forbid that
something came upon you and, you found out why they look
that way. DON'T be so judgmental!
