It would be interesting to see what they would do with the most prosperous nation in the world if you gave illegal mexicans the controls of our government, our infracture and see how long it would take them to ruin it. They have ruined their own country and are hell bent on doing the same to our America.

And all we are asking for in return is for them to do this LEGALLY. It's not too much to ask for when we are fighting for our freedom in Iraq, but they are stealing their freedom on our behalf. How fair is it that we are losing husbands and fathers, brothers, sisters, mothers.... who are fighting for our freedom, and here they just hop the border and expect that THEY should have the same?
I am ALL about someone making a better life for themselves, but how can you make a better life for yourself when you do it illegally?
As for the infrastructure? They are ALREADY tearing it down.

we only have the example of Mexico itself to judge standard by which it would most likely show how it would be handled.
in other words, failure would seem to be the case. thank goodness that will never happen here, for many years at least.
the educated and successful Mexican are staying in Mexico and working for it's betterment. the illegals represent the other side and leave to come here so we are not dealing with the most educated or those who would be capable of good leadership.

I don't have to give them the nation to see what happens. They've taken over towns and communities and run them all in the ground.
There was a town they took over in Nebraska. The first thing they did was put everything in Spanish.....second thing they did was paint the buildings pink and purple and fly the Mexican flag. Third thing was use the local gas station as a hang out to where you would be afraid to drive up and get gas if you were a tourist driving down the road.
I ran into one of those towns in my state and we were lost.....we stopped at numerous businesses and couldn't find a soul who spoke English or would even try and answer our questions. From what I can see......they are content to re-create another Mexico just for "their people" .

The illegal Mexicans are not the ones who ruined Mexico. They are leaving Mexico because they are powerless there. Corruption starts and ends mostly from the top down.
These people are not well enough educated to run a government or manage an infrastructure, but they are not asking to. They are asking to work at low skill jobs, with the hopes that their children and grandchildren can rise to the top. This "we want them to do it legally" argument is bogus. Even the "they should wait their turn" one is. If someone's from Mexico and doesn't have a close relative in the USA or a college degree, they have absolutely no chance to immigrate legally. None. US immigration law doesn't allow it. If you don't believe me, look up the means by which someone can immigrate to the USA. So, unless you favor laws reforming the procedures for immigration, what you really mean by "do it legally" is actually "Stay over in Mexico."

So, if illegal immigrants were going to be successful by being "legalized" and moving here, why wouldn't they have made their current homes a success? I don't see why anyone believes that allowing illegal immigrants free passage to America is suddenly going to unlock all this "potential" that these people apparently have kept hidden away in their native homes.

The only reason why Mexico is unsuccessful is because the white Europeans stole the most valuable land from Mexico. The south west that belonged to Mexico has the most valuable recources such as oil,farming,copper,gold, the list goes on. Its simple economics buddy!
