To lose or maintain weight, you need to eat when you are hungry and stop when you are full (intuitive eating) and exercise. Exercise should include aerobic exercise and weight training. This will help burn fat and calories.
This is highly recommended for long term and sustainable weight loss.

Drink nothing but water, no soda, no juice ect. Always eat a healthy breakfast, never skip it. Have fruit for a midmorning snack, have a healthy lunch, fruit for snack a few hours after, have a healthy dinner, fruit for dessert, have light snack a few hours before bed and get at least 30 minutes of aerobic activity at least 6 days a week. I have done all that and lost 10 pounds a month without being hungry and the best part is now I crave to eat that way all the time and most of my sugar cravings are banished! It is all part of a lifestyle change, not diet :)

Here is my best advice to you. Stop trying to loose weight fast that puts your body into shock. Loosing weight slowly can actually heal your body. Don't be sucked up into the "looking good thing" rather than the being healthy.
Cutting calories and drinking 8-10 glasses of water a day will absolutely help. There is no substitution for water either no mater what anyone tells you.
Go Girl ! Go! but do it wisely and do it for you!!

This depends on which liquids. Drinking water, preferably ice water, will help you lose weight. Drinking soda, other than diet soda, or some types of juice will make you gain weight, due to the sugar content. Drinking alcohol will make you gain weight.
Look at the package and see how many calories there are. The number of calories indicates how much the food or beverage makes you gain weight. (Warm water and ice water both have zero calories, but actually make you lose some weight, because of the energy needed to warm them to body temperature.)

Definitely. I made the adjustments below and went from 188 to 175 in one month without any risk to my health.
Drinking water when you are hungry helps kill the hunger. I use grape Fruit2O and no calorie diet iced tea to keep my body replenished. Avoid those exercise liquids like Gatorade and Powerade.
For food, eat a bowl of healthy cereal with skim or low fat milk, and grab a banana or apple to go with it. I keep two Slim Fast shakes with me whenever possible, and drink one after every 2 1/2 to 3 hours after eating or the last shake. If this doesn't help, there are plenty of low carb, low sugar nutrition bars out there to substitute. The FiberOne chocolate chip bars even taste great. (Many of the others don't.) Eat more chicken and fish, and less beef. Avoid fast food, anything deepfried, and extraneous things like cheese whenever possible. It is vital to cut down on salt and salty foods.
Since you want to be a cheerleader, I presume you are already somewhat physically fit, minus the weight you want to lose. If you don't already do this, start walking after you finish your homework. Walk your dog, pull your baby brother in his wagon, or walk with your little sister while she rides her tricycle. On weekends, go to a park with a hiking trail and start walking for distance. It doesn't have to be a fast walk if you go for distance. You'll know you're doing it right when you start to sweat. A good walk clears your head, it's healthy for you, and it gets you away from snacks.
Be warned, the first month is hard, and for guys, the easiest time for us to drop a lot of weight without a major increase in exercise. The second month requires much more effort for less short-term gain, but that's the nature of the human body.
Stay with it and good luck. Don't focus on losing the weight, focus on making the cheerleading squad. It's not the results that motivate us, it's the reward.

not neccessarily...the body expends more energy digesting solid foods than it does liquids that contain nutrients. it takes substantially more energy for the body to digest 4 oz. of poultry (25 grams protein) then it would to digest a low-carb protein shake that contains 25 grams of protein. it is also very hard to stay on liquid based diets for any length of time. liquids pass through the digestive tract rapidly even when they contain many calories or nutrients. this can very easily lead to overeating since you would not feel full for long and will get hungry sooner after a liquid meal.
following a diet that is based on whole foods is the only long term solution to weight loss and/or weight management.

yes, i have had several friends drink a lot of water and it helped them lose weight. obviously, you should know that TOO much water can be dangerous. (remember woman who died while doing stupid radio stunt to win her kids a prize) but that's A LOT of water in a short amount of time.
and it's not so much eating less food, but eating less of the wrong foods. stay away from the bad stuff. eat lots of fruits and vegetables--eat enough so you don't feel hungry. don't starve yourself. and of course exercise is key, not only to losing weight but being healthy.
cardio is the best way to go to burn fat. just make sure you're not over-doing it. good luck!!

If you wish to loose weight quickly drink plenty of water each day
Eat a good breakfeast in the morning a bowl of cornflakes and milk
And once a day squeeze half a lemon into your glass of water.
The most essential of these is the bown of cereal in the morning though.

I don't know...you might, but PLEASE don't stop eating...you WILL need energy!!!
You might want to cut back on your foods...cut out as much junk food as you can...drink a LOT of water or those neat little sports drinks (check the calorie content, though!!!).
Don't start out with WAYWAY strenuous exercise, you'll hurt yourself and lose heart with it....use stretching and walking to tone up.
Good luck!!! Don't give up on yourself and your goal!!!
