Charles de Montfort (1910-?) was born in Agaccio, Corsica. He studied at Beaux Art Academie and for three years with Henri Matisse. During his lifetime he exhibited worldwide beginning with France and Spain. He received many prizes and awards for his Paris scenes and his coastal Riviera scenes. Charles de Montfort generally focused on painting with watercolors. His works can be seen in many museums worldwide
