What do I do to be SAVED?

The Apostle Paul was asked this same question. Here is his answer..
Acts 16:30-31
And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Repent and be batptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remissions of your sins and you shall recieve the gift of the holy ghost. The Holy Ghost is the best thing that could ever happen to you. I was 12 when I recieved the gift of the Holy Ghost. And when you get it you dont want to do the things that you used to do before or go the place that you used to go. So it just doesnt take lifting your right hand or excepting the Lord it takes the Holy Ghost and Jesus name baptizism. I tried that stuff when when I went to my friends church as a child and it didnt work. I went back the next day and did things that I always did. Then one day I found my self on my kness at a Pentecostal Apostolic altar crying and praying to the Lord. I was taught as a child and in sunday school Acts 2:38 and that was about all that I knew. So I ask and I recieved. I speak in tongues for about 30-45 mins. And hasnt been anything better that has happen to me since then. The holy ghost is still being given out to day so dont let ANYONE tell you that its not. The Bible even says that its a promise unto you and your children and to all that are afar off even as many as the Lord our god shall call in Acts 2:39.

So if you truley want to be saved do these thing and try to find a church that believes these things.

What lovely gurl said is the best response, and it's what I was gonna say...I also want to add that SALVATION if you break it down in the greek, means SOZO :nothing missing, wholeness, complete, content
So many people get hooked on "what do I need to get saved from..." but who would turn down wholeness?
A lot of words are like that, in the bible, we adjust them to our english understanding.
The word JUDGEMENT is another one!
We shall all be judged...sounds pretty icky, doesn't it?
Think of it, as a review at work, the fact you're there, means you're probably not going to be fired, am I right?
Judegement denotes a renaming, and a reassigning of duties, kinda like, well you do pretty good with that, we'll increase your time there, that, you don't do too well at...it dentes usually a promotion, sometimes a rebuke, rarely but sometimes punishment.
I believe we are judged continually, yeah, ok, at the end too, but moment by moment and day by day also.
Save your soul! it says in the bible, but did you know there's a difference between your soul and your spirit?
Anywhere you see the word SPIRIT you can interchange that with the word YOUR HEART or visa versa
But your soul's made up of your mind, will and emotions, or thinker, feeler and chooser (;
so the salvation i speak of, is your soul at ease, right here, right now, SO THAT THEN you may be able to make right choices....like Jesus said, I also say-"the kingdom is at hand!"
That means , right here, right now...there'd be less arguments between all the demoninations if it hadn't turned into a big debate over what does one do now, to be ok then:after death...cuz no one will know who's right , until we are all dead!
But recieve that "life" now that he gives, that living water, that ye may never thirst again...first believe that it is possible for you to have a life changing occurence, that'll change you, the rest of your life
BELIEVE THAT believe ont he Lord jesus Christ?
Yeah, ok, believe that he can change you, all at once, right now, then ask him too, confess whatever you've done, you consider wrong, all at once, ask for forgiveness...find a church, get baptized in his name

Say this prayer:

Dear Jesus,
I know I am a sinner
and I want you to forget my sins
and be in my heart
and save me from all that is bad forever

As easy as that! Yes, I know, i does sound to easy t be true, but it is. Just say it and you'll be suprized when you die. By the way, saying "from all that is bad" isn't really suppose to mean in real life, but it after life.

I think to get your other life times saved it to obey the 10 commandments from what I heard of.

1. I must realize that in my present condition I am a sinner before God. "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3.23.)
2. I cannot save myself from eternal punishment in hell "For the wages of sin is death: but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord: (Romans 6:23)
3. Christ has paid for my sins and my punishment with His death on the cross. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him (Jesus should not perish, but have everlasting life: "(John 3:16)
4. I must accept His crucifixion as payment for my sins, personally. "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Romans 10:13)

When you are saved, you are sealed with God's Holy Spirit for eternity. You cannot loose your salvation because you are now adopted into the family of God.
It is important to find a bible teaching church and become part of the body of Christ to help you grow in your walk with the Lord. Read the Bible daily.
