Isnt it funny when atheists are like "quit pushing your religion on me" when you're not even the one pushing it on anyone? when really atheists are the one who keep trying to prove to everyone there is no God.

I think you're on to something...

if you ask me what I'm living for, what's most important to me...and I answer somethign about "God", am I trying to force you to accept my answer? Not hardly.

but do I feel a need to "rescue another person from their delusion?" Not hardly. Even though many will justify their bitterness...I ask the same question...how does that person's faith hurt you and how does your blistering remarks hurt them? I just don't see the "hurts inflicted" as being equal

Why does an atheist feel compelled to disprove God?
(I'm a capatalist, but I don't feel compelled to disprove communism)
Why does an atheist feel compelled to disprove God?
(I believe in airplanes, but I don't feel compelled to disprove UFOs)

If there is no God, they sure seem to be expending a lot of energy on fighting a shadow that's only a figment of my imagination, right? And wouldn't it be better to spend that energy on collecting blankets for the homeless and canned food for the hungry?

Guess not.

first of all, atheists do not go around trying to prove there is no god, we simply do not believe in god and when asked or challenged by the likes of you, we cite the overwhelming LACK of evidence for your god. that's it, plain and simple.

now, as far as you people pushing or forcing your religion on us, many of you do just that and religion is tied into almost every walk of life in this country be it laws that prohibit the sale of alcohol on sundays, condoms in school, discrimination against gays and lesbians, or the simple right of a woman to do with her body as she pleases. when christians stop running around trying to convert everyone, then atheists will have no reason to oppose them any longer. keep your silly little beleifs to yourselves and we have no problem with you. unfortunately, you cannot seem to do this...

So every Atheist does this? You've personally witnessed every Atheist in the entire world do this? And you've never seen a single Christian try to push their religion on anyone, anywhere?

There was a time when religion pushed itself on me now it's the atheist that I've noticed that push more so than anyone.

When an opinion is stated as though it were fact, I see that as pushing your opinion on society. If you were to state as a fact that God is real and you know it, then I see little difference than me saying God is fake and I know it. There is no evidence either way.

The same goes to when society is focused around the said religion and you support it.

They may be trying to prove it, but that does not mean they are forcing beliefs. Just like Christians try to prove through the bible why their reasoning if correct.

People who force religion are assholes. Not because they're religious but because they force it. In the same way people who spend there life trying to prove to religous people that God doesn't exist are assholes. But do you know who the biggest assholes are... The people like you who generalise all athiests the same as "trying to prove to everyone there is no God" if you're moaning about athiests stereotyping, don't stereotype them.

Speaking the truth and trying to convert people to your pointless religion are completely different.

*drink* Would you like to see my emails from Christians trying to convert me? I'm not saying it's you personally, how many atheists send you mail trying to get you to change, I'll bet it's none.
