I get a lot of hate mail from different users, far shissed, Viper, Dr. Peas, printninja and others.
Today I received a piece of hate mail from "far shissed" I sent a "reply", blocked "far shissed" and received a reply from "Dr. Peas".
I began thinking that most of these hate mails are the same person after I asked a question about how many of you send hate mail and the vast majority of you replied that you do not send hate mail.
I am beginning to think that there are maybe two or three trolls out there sending hate mail, sometimes Christian and sometimes Atheist. The point is not their position on religion since they really do not have one. I believe their only purpose is to send hate mail for some sick reason.
I was wondering if any of you that had been receiving either Christian or Atheist hate mail have the same suspicions, that most of it is just from a couple of people with different screen names?
Thanks

Thanks, I appreciate the answers.
Don't worry about the user names I mentioned. I am sure that those with multiple user names are not worried if a couple of them get outed, after all there are an infinite number of possible user names.
Yes, I am sure I have stepped on people's toes. So did Christ and he was crucified for it. If you exchange opinions with people sooner or later you are going to upset someone who believes you have no right to your own opinion and you need to convert to theirs.
Last time I attributed the hate mail to "atheists" just as some of you attribute hate mail to "Christians".
I don't think most of it has anything to do with beliefs any more, just hatred. and I do not mean the occasional lousy note sometimes sent, I mean the constant bombarding of hate mail.
This will go to voting. I am interested to see whose answer is selected.
You all had great answers.

I have received my fair share of hate emails, but I cannot, right now, remember any spawned by an answer or a question in R&S. What I have received is a lot of mail where people share with me why they believe their chosen path to be the correct one. Since they aren't abusive in those mails, I don't consider them hate emails.
I figure I put my contact information out there for a reason, so I have no reasonable expectation that someone, somewhere, isn't going to use it. That's fine with me. If I disagree with what they have to say, I just hit delete, and voila! It's gone and doesn't bother me anymore.
I do think that those who send really hateful mails are responding more to a need inside themselves to be hateful and spread the unhappiness around than they are to the actual question or answers or issues raised by something. Some people just want to drag others down in the muck with them to roll around and get dirty. I refuse to play along, so they don't get very far with me. And yes, not only in this forum, but in others, there are a lot of people with multiple accounts. They are so filled to the brim with misery they can't spread it fast enough with just one account, so they create five or six. I actually feel kind of sorry for them. This is such a great forum for the exchange of ideas, and they are wasting their time on spreading caca.

Not receiving "hate" mail. But do have some good running conversations with about half a dozen atheists, ranging from seeing how Christian thought has affected geo-politics, to exploring extra-biblical sources that talk about Jesus the histoical figure.
What may have started as "objectionable" email will always be met with a heavy dose of courtesy....hopefully a dialogue can be opened. Am I trying to "convert". Nope - not my job (that's the ministry of the Holy Spirit). I'm just called to give a good defense for my beliefs.
For me...dialogue is important. For a lot of reasons, but mostly because I believe a bridge can be built and no one here can forcast the results of having that bridge.

It seems that hate mail is common, at least for some people
on this otherwise wonderful venue. I really think you should ignore it and simple delete whenever someone tries to annoy
you. The folks who send this type of mail, obviously have nothing better to do with their pathetic lives and may be reaching
out in the only way they know for someone to pray for them. I
believe you have asked this question before, so if it continues to bother you, you might want to set up another Yahoo! Answers
account with a different name. That way the nay sayers will go away from your present profile when they see that activity
is no longer forthcoming from your present profile. I hope this helps, because complaining about it will not do any good.

I truly have won my honest proportion of hate emails, yet i will't, outstanding now, remember any spawned by way of an answer or a query in R&S. What I truly have won is a lot of mail the place people proportion with me why they suspect their chosen course to be the suited suited one. on account that they are no longer abusive in those mails, i do no longer evaluate them hate emails. I determine I positioned my touch information obtainable for a reason, so I have no sensible expectation that somebody, someplace, will no longer use it. that is fantastic with me. If I disagree with what they could desire to declare, I only hit delete, and voila! that is long gone and does not complication me anymore. I do think of that people who deliver truly hateful mails are responding extra to a pick interior themselves to be hateful and unfold the unhappiness around than they are to the truly question or solutions or themes raised by way of something. some people only pick to tug others down interior the muck with them to roll around and get grimy. I refuse to play alongside, so they are no longer getting very some distance with me. And confident, no longer basically in this talk board, yet in others, there are diverse those with diverse bills. they are so crammed to the brim with misery they could't unfold it quickly adequate with only one account, so they carry about about 5 or six. i actually sense type of sorry for them. that is that this type of super talk board for the substitute of recommendations, and that they are dropping their time on spreading caca.

I've never received a hate mail from other than SOME so called "Muslims"...
I'm a Muslim myself... but since I'm a Shiat... lots or maybe some Muslims here on R&S have a problem with it!
I suspect that its the same person sending me the hate mails... but I've blocked every single one of them but receive a new one from a new ID!
I guess truth hurts them/s/he :D so they go off pretty easy when they read a reasonable answer :D

I have received hate mail from only 2, whom I shall not name out of respect. One tells me I am unworthy of any kind of respect JUST BECAUSE I am a Christian. He has also mocked me on the public board when someone asked if I posted on the Cat section and ragged people.
Another sends me hate mail just because he disagrees with me. I think these 2 guys are different. I do not dignify their little hissy fits with a reply.

I agree with Craigers. I think that not replying may be the best policy so as not to fuel the fire. Or sometimes the right words can do the job, quenching the fire by not responding in kind but by showing kindness, which they may not have expected. May take them by surprise... pleasant surprise depending on whether they like non-confrontation or not :)
Peace be with you.

99% of my hate mail has come from the same person, Chosen by Grace and his many numerous incarnations.
I get mail from christians who criticize me but there is no hate in their words, USUALLY.
I do not send hate mail. Ask around. Has anyone here ever received hate mail from me?

Well I have recieved such messages a couple of times and one was from a pagan and the other by a person from my own faith and about others I can only guess.
Yes, I have noticed, that there are many such persons, in the forum, each having a couple of accounts, and it can be seen by voting of best answers..and these "clones" as I may call them, have created much confusion in one guise or the other.
And they are from both sides..faithfull and faithless..if you like what I say.
God Bless Them All.....They do not matter.
