we recently introduced wet food to my 5 mnth old kitty, he loves it. But when we put dry food in his bowl, he will eat only a little na dthen at the end of the day if he does not have any wet food he will flip his bowl over water and food in it, well all over the floor now. Is he really that spiteful, It's cute right now but im going to get tired of it. What to do??

mix his dry food with the wet food so then he will eat both the wet and the dry. That will make the fdry food wet too so you won't have to waste it. Trust me I have 2 cats and I had the same problem...

He's telling you something. He only wants the wet food. If you thoroughly mix the wet and dry, he will maybe do better at eating both. Otherwise, put his dry is a separate dish that he can't easily tip and place it someplace else than by his wet stuff and water so he can't make a mess of it, which is a fun game for him. Right now, the dry is harder for him to eat with his baby teeth coming out and that wet stuff is dee-lish to the max. Only feed a small amount of wet daily and keep that dry handy for "starvation attacks" and he should get to where he's eating it okay soon. He may be getting enough wet so he's just not hungry enough to find the dry attractive, also.

Put the bowls farther apart, that should be the easiest. Also look for a non-top, non-skid water bowl.

The dry should be free fed all day, and the wet kept as a supplement for the evening. Once he knows that's the deal, there won't be any problems.

Try mixing the dry food into the wet food, it is a technique often used by pet owners.

I'm sure you could find a bowl at someplace like Petsmart that is designed so it won't tip over.
Consider keeping your kitty on wet food. It is better for him.
I'm sure he is not being spiteful, just a kitty.

I think you should gradually feed him wet food, mix wet food with dry food, and gradually put less wet food, and more dry food into the foodbowl.

Hope it all works out ^^

I think you should just give him wet food...but if you already spent a lot of money on dry food you should try mixing them together....

you should mix the wet with the dry that way he/she will eat both and not make a mess. that's been my experience. I would try this before taking any more drastic measures.
