I had a miscarriage 7/31/07. Bled for a week, it was like a period. My levels that day were only 13 so I'm assuming it was back to 0 in a few days. Last night I had my husband go buy a pregnancy test because I was feeling bloated and it came back positive, more darker than the lines on my last pregnancy tests. Is that a good sign? I havent had a period since the miscarriage, is there anyone who this happened to that ended up having a perfectly fine pregnancy? I'm trying to be happy but I really can't be that excited and I don't want to tell anyone because I'm scared I might miscarry again. (I was only 6 weeks when i miscarried and I wouldnt have even known I was pregnant if I didnt take the test, I would have thought my period was just late).

This happens a lot and many women have healthy babies after miscarriage.

My friend suffered a miscarriage at 4 weeks, the day after she found out.. she went to the Dr for an annual exam the month later and found out that she was in fact pregnant again. She has a beautiful, healthy, 9 month old baby boy.

Try not stress, be happy and take it easy on yourself. Limit strenuous activity, stay off your feet at night as much as possible and keep a positive frame of mind.

Congratulations and Good Luck!

Start taking a prenatal til you get to the Dr. When you get to see the Dr ask about Vita-fol..it's a prenatal that is easy on the stomach and also has DHA Omega 3 pill that is excellent for the baby's brain development.

Congrats! At 4 weeks pregnant you will not see something on an ultrasound. i'm a sprint shocked that your dr. did one. He had to be conscious of you does not see something yet. At approximately 5 weeks you will discover a gestational sac. between 6-7 weeks the midsection will initiate beating. maximum docs do not do ultrasounds till after 8 weeks for this very reason.

Many many many people will miscarry before they have a successful pregnancy, and a lot of people will be able to conceive after having one. From experience most people that I know that have had a miscarriage will wait until after the first trimester to share their news in fear of "jinxing" themselves. Which, is perfectly fine, it's only 12 weeks, but your risk of miscarriage decreases substantially after then.

This is common. The rate of miscarriage IS higher, but not like 50% or anything. Relax, enjoy and congratulations!
