i LOVE coke, but it totally makes me poop! i think its the combo fo sugar and caffiene. i also have a hard time drinking caffienated coffee, tea, etc. and dr. pepper freakin DESTROYS me. its a pretty common problem, the combo of sugar, caffiene, and the carbonation can cause it. i find drinking caffiene free coke, and limiting the amount you consume, helps a lot.

No, but Coca Cola sometimes has a funny taste sometimes. Extremely fizzy. Go with Dr. Pepper or Vanilla Cream Soda~its less upsetting.

I have stopped drinking it since my stomach lining began to erode away and I could only drink milk to stop the pain. I still keep a cola on hand to dissolve rust and remove old paint!

drinking a lot of cola can wear away at your stomach causing alot of pain. My one teacher had this problem and had surgery. If it is causing your stomach to hurt see a doctor imediatly.

Any caffeinated product can irritate your stomach
and make you "urt"
(is that a Cockney accent?
Or should that be Coke-ney?). ;)

Drinking with food usually reduces the pain,
as would avoiding such drinks altogether!

The carbonation can get to those with sensitive stomachs. Particularly if you tend to get acid reflux. My suggestion is try a juice or non-carbonated beverage. If you like coke let it sit out and go flat, to me this is terrible but to each their own.

Yes, sometimes Coke and other sodas give me gas from the carbonation, which makes my stomach hurt!

Yes, any gass cooldrink can hurt your tummy due to too much gass being trapped inside of you and it wants to come out but has to first work thou the system.....come out top or bottom. Try shaking some of the gass out before drinking it, it won't be soo fizzy but it will be gentler on your tummy.
