Sounds like you're taking some good steps. It's hard when someone who should care for and love you is so cruel. You've already started to distance yourself by making your own plans and making sure she can't derail them. Stay on this path, as difficult as it is. Tell yourself that by letting her upset you you're giving her power over your life. You know you're a good and valuable person. What she thinks doesn't matter. Just close your ears to her words and tell yourself they don't matter. Don't respond to her or get caught up in her drama. Don't tell her off. Extricate yourself from these scenes as quickly as you can with the minimal investment of energy. Remind yourself that focusing on your school work is your ticket out of there. Don't give her the satisfaction of getting in your way.
Good luck.

Find someone to confide in. A close friend or someone you know will listen to you and wont pick a side until you tell them the whole story. I've had problems with my mom as well and I felt that instead of keeping it bottled up inside its better to tell someone all about it and get their input. You can do al the excersizes or things to keep your mind off of the problem but i bet once you get back home its the same thing all over again. So talk to someone close. Try to come up with a compromise of how to deal with your mom without her getting under your skin even more. You'll see that homework will be easy to focus on once you find a solution or compromise to what causes the problem between your mom and yourself.

I suppose your a terrible procrastinator. Just like me. I am doing homework correct now. I simply began, and it generally takes me until a million am to conclude it. Id attempt to give up procrastinating if i have been you. Take some thing that could distract you from your room, and paintings at a table. If you want the pc, use it then take it away. That stops your temptation to surf the internet.

I thought my mom was a jerk also when I was 16. Unfortunately we didn't get along until I went to college. After that we became best friends and I couldn't imagine her not in my life. It's just part of growing up - you wanting independence and your mom still trying to guide you best she can.
Just shake it off and concentrate on what you need to do when you need to do it. Things will get better.

I know how you feel but try to work things out with your mom. If that doesn't work try not to concentrate on you and your mom's differences, focus on your school work for now and then come back to your personal problems.

I know how you feel. When your mad and you need to concentrate on homework, write a letter to your mom about how you feel. Write anything you want no matter how mean or nasty. Then, when your done, rip it up and throw it away. All your anger should be out and you can concentrate on your homework!

When I get upset, I take a walk around the neighborhood, or listening to some easy music, or both.
