We all know according to the Christians, each and everyone of us has a soul. When you die, your soul will either go to Heaven or Hell base on your merits.
BUT! what happen to our soul before we are born.

Do we have consciousness. If we do, why don't we remember about it.

Are we just sort of like floating in a cryogenic chamber like a vegetable?

The bible never ever covered that part of the story did it?
It's preplexing isn't it?

Star please if you think this is a good question.

The soul of a person and animal, yes the bible says that animals have souls too, is that part of a being that is conscious.
It is the part that knows it is here, the mind if you will, not the brain.

The spirit is the life force that is given by God to humans. It is the way that we are like Him, for God is a Spirit. This is how the Holy Spirit can enter into our being and be at home with our spirit. The bible does not say that animals have spirits.

The bible says that the spirit returns to God from which it came. But spirits do not go to hell,

Acts 2:27......Because you will not leave my soul in hell, neither will you suffer your Holy One to see corruption.

Genesis 2:7 And the Lord God formed man out of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man BECAME a living soul."

(By the way, science says that we are made of carbon, carbon is the base for dirt. Good guess for a bunch of guys sitting around a campfire making up a religion.)

So if man became a living soul at his creation or inception, then he did not have a soul before his existence, since it does not exist before one is born.

Gee, I guess it is covered in the bible.
Next one please.

Yes, we all exist before we are born. We are in the pre-existence. We are only spirits/souls there. We receive our bodies when we are born here on earth. Once the body dies the body and soul separate temporarily. The body gets buried and the soul goes to a waiting place called the 'spirit world'. This is where it remains until the second coming.

We don't remember because before we come to this earth we pass through the'veil' of forgetfulness. If we could remember everything from before this life, then this life would not much of a test would it?

Our soul did not exist before we were conceived. At that moment, everything that defines us as an individual, biologically and spiritually, comes together, and we come into existence. There are no souls in heaven waiting for a body to be joined to. The soul comes into existence at the same moment the body of the individual does, approximately 9 months before birth.

I asked a priest once about that... He said the soul is created once the child is conceived... I think that we are here to learn a lesson and if we don't we are sent back again... But that is my belief... What's yours?
