Thanks :-)

Not walkable. It's really far. I would suggest after visiting "chinablock" lmao hop on the train (right @ gallery place/ chinatown). Wisconsin ave stretches far. It runs from georgetown past chevy chase and on into bethesda (that's as far as i've gone on it).

if you are planning to do your shopping in georgetown, then hope on the circular bus. If you wanna do friendship heights chevy chase, then take the red line train.

Have fun.

Chinatown is not much of a draw anymore, unless you like a bunch of chain stores and restaurants. Some of the locals sardonically call it Chinablock, which is H Street NW between 6th and 7th Streets near the arch. It's also not really walkable to Wisconsin Avenue.

Wisconsin Avenue is pretty long--it extends several miles through the District, so it helps to know where on Wisconsin you want to go.

Walk a couple blocks north on 7th Street to Massachusetts Avenue and you can catch the Circulator (a bright red bus) towards Georgetown for shopping along M Street and Wisconsin Avenue. You can walk south on 7th to Pennsylvania Avenue and take the 32, 34, 35, or 36 Metrobus towards Friendship Heights. That will go along M Street in Georgetown and all the way up Wisconsin Avenue to the DC-Maryland line (the Friendship Heights Metro station on the Red Line). If you want to be on the north end of Wisconsin, you can take the Red Line Metro towards Shady Grove to the Friendship Heights or Tenleytown stations.
