..or do i need 2 replace them?

how would i check the connection 2 the headset and re-solder it?...dunno abt any repair shop here :(

Hi, it is always mostly the wire which leads to the headset which would have snapped.
If you are using expensive headphones, then it is worth to check out the connections to the headset and have them re-soldered at home or from the local TV repair shop.
If you are using the cheap ones ( like the ones you get on some airlines ), it is not worth the effort.

This is a common problem and is most often at the plug end of the cable. There are two options to "fix it". Cut the molded plug off the end and replace it with an after market plug or replace them. When you are having the intermittent problem wiggle the wire where it goes in to the plug and if that comes and goes then fix #1 will work. If it is cutting out at the ear piece then they are junk.

Check if whatever your listening to music on is set on 'mono'. If so, change it to 'stereo'.

Replace, them. Please. Ever so often you have to replace them.
