Why is it if one brushes their hair, while they have conditioner in it in the shower, that it seems to almost make it work or react. Whenever I do this, it gets a good lather and comes out amazingly soft... it it just because its actually m aking a lather?
I never get this result otherwise. Plus could it be healthy for your hair to do that? I know your not suppose to brush your hair when its wet.. but still. any inputs great!

Combing distributed the conditoner evenly over all the hairs on your head while just slapping in on with your hands only gets it on the hair on top.

Please stop brushing your hair. Brushing-combing is one of the worst things you can do to your hair. The old wives tale that brushing your hair is good is all wrong, women who brush their hair twice a day loose three times as much hair as women who brush their hair once a day. I only finger comb my own hair once every other day. Also never use any heat from any source blow dryer, flat iron, curling iron, etc. on your hair. Look at my picture I have very curly hair & I never have frizzes. If your not getting regular trims they're a must to get rid of split ends. The more brushing you do the more split ends you will have brushing stretches hair & it pulls hair out at the root. Follow a few simple rules & you could have hair like mine when your fifty nine & I am Hope this helps (*.:.*)

It is bad to brush hair when whet because hair breaks easier when wet, if you feel you must try to get a wide toothed comb really wide toothed, or at least get one of those "ouchless" brushes with the really wide bristles so hair doesn't get caught or tangle as easily.... I think Conair makes them. Also try using a cheap plastic shower cap on your har after you put the condition in it, it makes it work better, then soap and shave your legs or whatever yo do in the shower, then take off the cap and rinse with cool water

Every time i am at home and in the shower i brush my hair with the conditioner and it comes out great, and if i shower somewhere other than home and there is no brush my hair comes out less then great. I don't know, but maybe it pulls out all the dead dry hair to make your good hair more luscious.

Don't brush your hair whilst its wet it completly wrecks it, it breaks the hair so your left with hairs that go short and spikey and brittle. When i condition my hair it never makes a lather yet i don't seem to mind because it i leave it on for long enough it begins to work. Try using Vo5 of your hair really needs deep condictioning.
Hope that helped you.

I mean it's alright, you can get the tangles out and everything try a comb when in the shower because brushes may not feel like it but they can seriusly damage your hair... Other than that keep on showering!!

It is never good to brush hair while it is wet. You may want to try using a big tooth comb, that works much better.

I do the same thing. It works good, eh? My hair is really curly and when I brush it good in the shower it comes out in like ringlets, but it never stays because I towel dry my hair because my hair dryer makes it dry and frizzy.

I believe it spreads oil around (which is good) and gets the conditioner through the hair, (also good) and it untangles.

But using a BRUSH can damage your hair, so use a wid e toothed comb.

Actually it does make your hair softer because when you comb or brush it with conditioner, it takes off the knots and when you rinse it its because it dosent have any knots thats what I think because I do that too!
