The US has been in Guantanamo since the Spanish American War. We actually pay rent to Castro, but Castro never cashes the checks.

the answer is... if Castro ever decided to try and toss us out of Cuba, he wouldhave a hell of a time. Gitmo as it is reffered to by the marines who live there, is one of the most secure places for any US citizen on the planet. it is surround by two 14 foot fences, spaced about 30 feet apart. between these 2 fences are an assortment of anti-personell and anti-tank mines. along the outside of the outer fence, soldier/dog teams patrol 24 hours a day. there are eight 175 foot towers manned by crack recon snipers, as well as 50cal machine guns for perimeter defense. manned by the marines, and surrounded by these perimeter defenses. nothin Castro or the Cuban military can throw at us seems like a pittance.

We pay something like $25000 a year for it but castro never has cashed a check. and we have had for almost a 100 years.

hey MstrChief55, ever heard of OPSEC, do you want to post a sketch of gitmo? how about posting how many guards they have, or maybe the guard duty roster. now i realize what you posted probably can be seen by any Cuban with field glasses, but u still shouldn't post that here.
