I just returned from a trip to the UK, where I had a small fender bender with a UK resident. Rather than go through my car rental insurance, I agreed to pay him 100 pounds (same as the rental insurance deductible). I'm back in the US - how can I most easily get this money to him?

Hmmm a money order will cost him a bomb to cash - does he have a Paypal account maybe??

Otherwise direct bank transfer? You will need his bank, account number and international banking identification number for this. Don't this this way costs either of you anything though so possibly the best way to go.

Alternatively you could just send dollars cash in a registered envelope.

Inter-account transfer. Do you have the person's bank details? If not, get in touch with them and arrange to transfer the funds with your bank. You can do what's called a CHAPS transfer - but that will cost you £25 (because it happens same day).. Best to simply do a inter-acc transfer. You'll need the account number and sort code.

Quickest way is the wire the money straight to his bank account. The bank will charge you a small handling fee
