the only way to get rid of belly fat will be by reducing body fat percentage which you achieve by healthy diet and exercise.
find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio is the only fat burning exercise and burns fat all over your body (running, jogging, swimming, spinning, elliptical etc) 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), weight training a few days a week but never work on the same muscle group two days in a row (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

The best way to lose weight is good old fashioned diet and exercize. It takes longer than other weight loss methods, but the slower you lose it, the more likely it is to stay off.
Here are some tips and tricks that I find helpful:
1.Eat small meals, 6 times a day. Eating less at a time and more frequently will increase your metabolism.
2. Drink a lot of water. Water will keep you full and is essential to weight loss and general good health. Stay away from soda and other drinks that are just empty calories. Even most juices have more sugar than nutrients.
3. Pick one day when you can "splurge". If you tell yourself that on Saturdays you can eat ice cream you're less likely to break your diet and eat it during the other 6 days. It sounds much better to tell yourself that you can't eat ice cream until Saturday than to say that you can't eat ice cream period.
4. I know you said you can't do a lot of cardio, but you don't have to do intense workouts to burn fat. Long walks are great to boost your metabolism and burn some calories. Try to go out for a walk early in the morning so that you can boost your energy for the whole day.
5. Along the same lines as the morning walk, make sure you eat breakfast early in the day to jump start your metabolism.
6. Try not to eat late at night.
7. Park far away from stores, walk instead of driving whenever possible, watch less TV and go outside and play with your family, etc etc. Just use common sense to try to eat less and be more active.
Good luck :)

You can always go walking as long you keep it somewhat leisurely. You won't get the same benefits that you would if you were walking briskly/aerobically, but it's still good exercise. Pilates and Yoga might be able to help, too. Check out the selection of fitness DVDs over at amazon.com some time. There's no shortage of choices!
With respect to diet, you didn't really elaborate about your pickiness much. Do you still eat vegetables and fruits? More of those can't hurt. Have a vegetarian meal or two every week with some kind of beans. Beans have lots of protein, and they lack the fat, cholesterol and calories of meat. Cut down on the dairy products...like one a day max. Don't eat fried food and skip dessert (or just have fruit).
Best of luck!

This is probrobly not good advice, but I was almost 150 pounds at age 13. I hated it..I didnt like looking in the mirror because i hated what i saw..... SO I ate one good meal a day and healthy snacks in between..Excerised daily and drank mostly water. It probrobly wasn't the best kind of diet to go on, but i lost a good amount of weight. i'm now 17 and weigh 115. IF i could go back and do it again, i would. i know its supposed to be whats on the inside that counts, but in todays society being overweight was just not an option for me !

There are more diets than ever and more people dieting than ever and yet we have the fattest society ever. So a lot of these ideas about losing weight, make you fatter. Cutting calories, carbs and fats can cause you to have a weight problem for life.
It is better to eat differently. See site below and learn why meat and non-fat yogurt are so fattening. Also salt has no calories but makes you fat. Cure your weight problem and be thin for life. It also has the quickest weight loss possible.

Try to do some light walks during the day, and if you cut out alot of caffene and drink more water, that should help. You can replace meals with Lean Quasine or Healthy Choice Meals. They have a huge variety of foods!!! Sorry if I didnt help! :)
