I am using azureus for the 1st time and have downloaded the torrent thing to my desktop and when i click it, azureus opens up and shows the file that is ment to be downloading but it's been bout 15mins and the speed thing is still empty and the progress bar is still at 0%.

Any1 no what to do.....

@ andy g: Azureus is fine as long as you forward a good port.
Check the azureus FAQ for troubleshooting. There are a variety of things which may inhibit your connection...
Is it a bad torrent? Illegal perhaps?
What's the seed:peer ratio?
Do you have a good port?
Is your firewall configured for p2p, is it blocking azureus? Maybe the tracker is bad, or overloaded.
As a side note, don't download torrent files to your desktop - it's annoying. Configure your .torrent file extension with azureus so it's a one - click thing.
Try downloading a torrent from http://www.legaltorrents.com/index.htm as a control test.
Troubleshoot your connection - make sure you can download stuff. There are tens of forums dedicated to azureus technical support (I'm not a techie, but that's the best I can tell you).

You want to make sure the file you want to download is seeded otherwise you may wait for ever, When you download from a torrent say http://www.extratorrent.com type in axxo, the quality of files are 1st class

delete azureuz and go for utorrent it's a remarkable torrent downloader and supported by the minnova torrent web site or try frostwire it's a rip off limewire pro download it of the Internet who cares if it's a ripoff limewire because limewire rips off everybody else's software and charges by the way it's free
