I mean come on, God how do you know he's real? You've never seen him, there is no proof of him. I mean how can you blindly believe in something that is most likley false? It's brainwashing. Since you were little someone told you these lies, and they're drilled into your head.
I feel sorry for you, man, really. Because when the time comes when you realize you're all alone in this world and there will be no God or Jesus to help you, you'll learn you wasted your life on false idols.

Faith: Believing in something and hoping it turns out fine.
Look i've been baptized and i've never "seen" The Lord.
"I know what I belive in and why I belive in it." That doesn't make it fact. I believe that the Moon was created when angry space Turtles did battle. No matter how long i believe that, it won't make it true.
Go ahead and have a nice life believing in a book written 2000 years ago that for all you know was ALL MADE UP.
I'm gonna spend my life on things i can feel, touch, smell and experience.

No need to feel sorry for them, they are never likely to know.

I sometimes wonder that myself, about others who have not heard His voice, as I have. Would I be a believer, had these things not happened in my life? I don't know.
I feel somehow, like a cheat. While others must believe in blind faith, I have had connection with the Lord. Miracles upon miracles, time after time my life saved. Was the devil trying to kill me so that I wouldn't be here to tell you these things today? Did the Lord see to it that I AM alive today to tell you? Sure seems so, considering the things that have happened.
For me, it's been one heck of a rough life because there has been an enemy out to kill me, since the day I was born. Regardless of his efforts, I'm here today to talk my head off.He still hasn't silenced me and he never will. I'm the walking dead already, should have died last year.
Come to think of it, I should have died many times.
God is real. You are a spirit. Jesus is real both in spirit and body. Jesus corrected history. Jesus is coming again.

You stated that there's no proof for the existence of God. If you believe the Universe and life came about without a Creator, you have a lot more faith than I do.
I'm guessing that you have never read the Bible. It's no ordinary book. If you take the time to read it, it should become apparent to you that it is not just the product of man, that it must be inspired by God, as it claims to be.

I believe in God because I look around and realize no "Big Bang" could have done this.
It is a like air. I can't see it but I believe it is there because I breathe it in and it keeps me alive.
I have faith in God and I don't believe "he is most likely false". What you call brainwashing I call good parenting. My parents gave me their beliefs and then encouraged me to ask questions and learn for myself. I am Jewish and believe in God because that is what I have found for myself. You are assuming anyone religious is a mind numbed zombi and that is far from true.
Faith helps many of us live our lives better and is a source of comfort.
However, for argument sake, let's say your are right and I find out there is no God, why do you assume I will think I wasted my life? My life is full of good works, charity, being nice to people and having people be nice to me in return. It is faith that has provided the quality of my life. I would not think I wasted it when my life is as nice as it is.
That said, I have complete faith there is a God.
You don't need to feel sorry for me but thanks for the sympathy anyway.

How can you believe that the earth is round? Have you ever been in space? No. There are few that have, statistically speaking. At best, if you have been on the ocean, you have seen the curvature of the earth, but that could have just been an optical illusion. You take everyone else's word and other evidences throughout history to support your belief that the earth is round. Of course, everyone believes that the earth is round.
It is the same for me and my faith. I have evidences that persuade me to believe in God, even though I have never physically seen Him. You can feel sorry for me if you want, but I know in whom I believe and I am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him this day.

When I see the trees swaying back and forth i know the wind is blowing even though i can not see it, only it's effects.
As far as my beliefs in God and Jesus Christ, that's why it's called faith.
And when it comes to faith it is faith that causes you not to slow down at an intersection when you have the green light.
Faith that those that have a red light will, in fact, stop.

According to the Bible, faith is "the evidence of things not seen"... Think about that for a second. For people who agree with that statement, a person can simply choose to believe something and that qualifies as "evidence". That's the only way to know that God is real.

I couldn't.
But I do believe in God. How can that be?
I know God is real. But I don't "know" it in the same way I know how to solve a polynomial or what the word "cat" means. It's a different kind of knowledge that's hard to explain.
I know that from a non-believer's viewpoint it is easy to label that knowledge brainwashing or self-delusion. I have no response to that except that until you experience the same thing, there are no words I can give you to explain what this knowledge is.
If some people want to call that "faith," I have no problem with that. But I think that word gets a lot of bad press from fundamentalists and smarmy TV evangelicals who abuse it.
When I was little my head didn't get drilled with stuff. The Catholicism I grew up with in SW La. is very laid-back and influenced by the Cajun "joie du vie." But I came to know God anyway -- because I have met Him in His spirit in my heart.
There are plenty of false idols out there: and the little papier-mache god that the fundamentalists haul out to condemn people with is at the top of the ridiculous idol list.
But the real living God of love isn't one of them. I think the time will come when you might realize that you were never all alone in this world and that God was there beside you, loving you through all your pain and disappointment all your life. That moment will bring you inexpressible joy.

Well, I don't believe things I don't know are true. AND I know God is real. Jesus is real, and the heavenly host are real. But that is not to convince anyone. You see the problem is when you don't know, you've not met them... and when you've not met them you can't know. Logic and reasoning is perfect here. I can't know you - I've not met you and vice versa. Personalities who've met know each other. Only personalities can know each other.
And isn't that funny? People who know Jesus and have met him in Spirit feel sorry for you, too. As long as you are happy with yourself and what you believe this will always remain a silly farce or a silly mystery to you.
But logic would tell you not to be such a scoffer... because I'm sure you don't believe you ought to be judgmental, it's a societal no-no these days.

Do you honestly think that for all people it's blind faith? Do you honestly think all of us believe in God with no evidence or proof?
God has been an every day reality for me for years. The question of whether God existed was answered for me as a teenager. It's obsolete for me now. I expect God's promises to be true and prayers to be answered, and it happens. You should explore more.

You make the assumption that everyone who believes in God - believes that Jesus is going to help them. And you go on to make another assumption that everyone who believes in God, believes it is a "he."
I believe in God. I believe that God is the Power of Love. I see it and experience it daily. A hug from my kid - a smile from a stranger - an especially kind word from a co-worker - it's all God/Love - and I KNOW it's true.
Please don't feel sorry for me. I am blessed to have Love working through me everyday - and I am very happy!
Namaste!!
