Many people believe that. They are called Preterists. The traditional Christian view is called Partial-Preterism, which maintains that most of the Olivet Discourse was fulfilled in 70 AD, with the exception of the actual second advent of Christ. Partial Preterism was established Christian doctrine by the time that Eusebius wrote his Ecclesiastical History in the 4th century.

No, because when Jesus returns he will take his disciples with him in the rapture and some of his disciples and apostles lived well into the second century.

The writer of Revelation (Written by John of Patmos in 95 A.D) would have been left behind by Jesus.

No it did not.

The second coming is divided into two parts, A. Christ's invisible presence at the time of the end, B. his coming in glory, royal glory when all the nations are assembled before him -- this is when the harvest, Armageddon, begins.

No Christ did not return in 70 AD.

Christ's return also entails the destruction of this entire universe with fire.
