I just came upon it and answered a few questions and read a few resolved questions and learned quite a bit about different cultures and things I never knew so I stayed. At times it is frustrating but most of the the time it is entertaining and educational. I just had to learn that people ask stupid questions just to be jerks and no respond to those. That took me a while (I must be a little bit slow)
Today I have learned about independece day in Malaysia. I always walk away knowing things I didn't know before.

I did a search engine and found a very good answer to a question I was having a hard time finding an answer for, I then realized that this was a site that I could join so I did because people have information. Information is what helps people accomplish things. I'm having a great time here, in spite of all the jerks that have cocky answers and feel they need to make a point. At least we have the option of reporting them. I think it's a great community. I get a lot of good info and most of my questions get good answers.

At first out boredom. Then reading the answers in my field, I discovered so much blatantly erroneous, false and even potentially dangerous information, I decided to help if I could. I am a paralegal, and mistakes regarding legal matters can severely harm a person's future. While I cannot ethically or legally provide legal advice, I can answer many questions and save legal fees for people, point them to accurate information, tell them when the infor they receive is erroneous, and advise when the best course is to hire an attorney immediately. Also, I have a master's degree, am well educated, and have had careers in three distinct fields...I have a lot of information to share. And finally, because I learn quite a bit in return.

I used to work in the reference department in a public library. Lately, I've really been missing the thrill of tracking down answers to the questions that the patrons would ask. Yahoo! Answers gives me a chance to recapture that.

To hear liars speaking lies;
To see fools acting wise;
To find honest souls seeking Truth;
And, the rest groping in the dark, following their pipe pipers, as sheep led to the slaughter
Perchance, I might raise a clear sound to alert, and, to divert the lost to turn toward the path of Light !
So here am I, at, Yahoo Answers !

Interested in people and what they are thinking. It started with having a problem with my yahoo group and asking a question about what to do.

I sort of stumbled into it, but I love many of the answers people give from different walks of life. Much of the information has to be taken with a grain of salt as they say.
