One cannot both think and be a member of a religion.
It takes a leap of irrationality to be religious.

>Shouldn't religion rely upon their worshiper knowlege and their intelligence to discover the fundamental truth of life.<
Sure, why not... "religion is man invented so man should be the controling force...right?
However... The True Christian Faith is not a man invented "religion.
Faith not based on fact is fantacy.... For those of The True Christian Faith God is The Fact. The "faith" of the True Christian is based upon the individuals personal knowledge of God and what God has done for them and given them. The Truth of God is known to each individual personaly. It is this personal knowledge of The Truth that allows each one of The Faith to have faith that what God says will be, Will Be.
The Fact of God is the base upon which our "faith" rests. And it is a firm foundation. Because we as individuals Know God... our faith is not based upon what someone else says about God... or what is written in some book.

Swedenborg said that he was bringing back the "Bible Code" or "Law of Correspondences" that the prophets like Joseph and Daniel used to interpret dreams, and the prophets Ezekiel and John learned when the ate the "scroll" or "little book." I have found that the claim is very accurate, but those unwilling to speak of the "marriage of good and truth" will not be able to negotiate God's system of interpretation. Often parables are given in twos, such as the "cup and the platter" the "bread and the wine" the "flesh and the blood" as well as many other references to two things that are together and make a one, much like you left and right brain together is known and perceived as one brain, however, there are two things to it, namely the emotional right brain and the rational left brain.

I am not Christian so I can't answer from a Christian point of view but I can answer from a Jewish point of view and faith plays a huge role in my life. I don't know myself at all sometimes but I always feel I know God. I don't think we can understand God on the scale we want to but I feel everything around me proves he exists and that is enough for me.
I believe my religion and how I live my life stems from knowledge, intelligence and faith. That is enough for me.

faith in God originated when God made contact with man and revealed himself.....as time went on, this contact became less frequent because of the sinful nature of man.....
so originally, faith was based on real experiences and knowledge. the last group experiences were with the jews......with the entire group witnessing the power of God in their lives...this occured through the time of Jesus....then everything stopped when jesus was crucified.
jesus came so that people could reconnect with god....jesus said, if you see me, you see the Father in heaven....sadly....many people by then did not want to reconnect...
however, the ones that did got the reassurance and knowledge they were looking for...this is still true today

The previous testomony is the hot testomony hid, the hot testomony is the previous testomony printed. genuine Christianity is consistent with clever faith, with each bit as plenty 'thinking' as Judaism. The Jews at circumstances have been additionally advised to basically have faith. while Joshua marched around Jericho, they have been putting their faith in God that He could do all that He reported He could. He did!! it extremely is the comparable faith which Christians have. God has a historic previous. that's the place we place our faith: He has continually stored His word, why could desire to we doubt it now?

No. I would say, rather, that it is Faith in the eyewitness testimony of the witnesses to the Resurrection of Christ.
Just as humans we can competently sit on a jury (using our God-given human reason) and "weigh the evidence" of a case in a court of law - in Scripture, we see evidence, and that evidence demands a verdict.

All forms of beliefs in God - of whatever religion - is simply based on blind faith. That's it . Either you believe or you don't. You cannot prove or disprove the existence of God.

So, you're saying that it's theoretically impossible to figure life out. And that Christians are ignorant for believing in God because it's impossible to figure life out. But I ask you this... exactly what are atheist trying to do if not that? Feeling God's presence is enough to feed my faith.

Did we need verifiable scientific evidence to know that our dad wasn't going to let go of us while he was teaching us how to ride a bike? No, we knew our dads and trusted them. That is what faith is and its hardly blind.
Actually half of understanding God is using simple inteligence. Jesus said that true worshippers of God would come to know him in spirit and in truth. That truth is the basis of knowledge for which we seek and study.
All we have to know about ourselves in order to accept the Gospel is that we are sinners and need forgiveness in Christ. How can we know God without knowing ourselves?
Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. -Matthew 10:39
Jesus said that when we deny ourselves, we truly find ourselves within his kingdom.
We can understand God because he has revealed himself in Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

The law is not of faith: Galatians 3:11,12
So begin faith-->hope-->charity with grace,
unless you want your hope to be hopeless,
hopeless via law makes grace no more grace,
and justified by the law is a fall, from grace, to law,
and then Christ is of no effect to you: Galatians 5:4.
Blind faith = trust in L-w, which said:
I will forsake you: Jeremiah 23:39.
The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.
