Possible, not probable...unless they're all idiots.

just might be that Iran is biding their time until our forces are so exhausted, our numbers so depleted, we no longer have any reserves to rely on, before they attack us.

They could just be using terrorist cells in Iraq to soften us up.

It's a shame we no longer fight wars to win. Our young military personnel are used like chess pieces for the politicians to play their power game with.

I seriously wonder if the American people are ever going to get smart and put an end to this. If our political and military leaders cannot do the job we expect them to do, why haven't we booted them out?

Of course the answer is that the problem hasn't hit close to home yet. I'm not talking about a 9/11. I'm talking about it effecting each person personally. It's to bad that it will take something like that before the people will decide to do something.

The general attitude seems to be "Hey things are good for me and that's all I'm concerned with". I hope I'm not around when reality finally strikes.

No I doubt it very much, why attack when you can do it on the sly. Remember what happened to Japan when they attacked us on Dec 7th 1941. It took us a while to respond, but when we did all "Hell" broke loose, Iran may gain the upper hand for a while, but they do not have any gasoline refineries there. Just blockade their borders and sea ports, They wold son be without fuel to continue any war they may start. They already know this, and are more than happy to stay in the back ground and let some other nation get the worse of it,

Iran may be silly but not daft.
US may be daft and not silly.

Your guess will be as good as mine.

However my opinion is that the first strike will be by the US if ever there is one but it is highly unlikely since there are enough battlefields where they are waging war, in addition to the terrorist threat the country is living with.

And as a last word - why doesn't God ban wars ! Why doesn't man realize this is not the solution. Why does man continue to kill in the name of religion, and that very religion carries the word of God which is peace and love !! Bah, bah and bahhhs all the way to all those in lofty towers who sign those declarations of war !

What makes something referred to as something. somebody got here up with a recognition for people and now we mutually call ourselves people (so some distance as English is in touch). How are we diverse from different issues? we seem diverse, we've diverse genes, we've diverse purposes, and a few could say we won the breath of life from God. What makes us human in the eastern way of thinking? A human that conforms to the societal norms. Even the bible says you're a beast in case you supply your self as much as sin.

Yes it is possible. But Iran needs to understand the US is not alone in the concern of Iran nuclear capabilities.

That is something I have expected since we went in there and am surprised they haven't blatantly done so. (we know they are doing it covertly, like snakes in the dark) I do think its a GOOD THING we are in Iraq because its a never ending warning to Iran that we could step over the borders when we need to.

It's possible. In fact, it's probably the plan of the Bush administration to continue irritating Iran until it does just that!
Such attacks would give Bush the excuse he needs to invade Iran, just as he attacked Iraq. The Bush administration's only objective is to secure all of the OIL swimming under Iraq and Iran's sands. -RKO- 09/02/07

Yes anything is possible.

Edit; it's common knowledge that they have been supplying the technology and man power to murder our troop's, but I take it by your question you meant will they hit our troop's with bombs, so yes they are capable of committing all sorts of atrocities.
