A hot TODDY - Boil about 1 cup of water. While the water is coming to a boil, get a large mug. Put 2 tablespoons honey in bottom of mug. Fill shot glass to the brim with the best bourbon you can buy, pour into large mug. Add boiling water. At this point, some people add 1 large mint leaf, or a cinnamon stick. I don't. Stir quickly to mix everything, then drink as fast as possible. Repeat as needed. Good Luck & Blessings

There are many ways to make a hot tottie. I use to make
them for my kids and grandkids when they had a cold. They
work. Here is one: Segram 7 ( to taste) lemon juice, Sugar
or honey to sweeten HOT water. Mixed real good. The
smaller the child the less whiskey you use. Hope that this
helps.

My Mom made them for me when I was having horrible periods.

It is warm lemonade with about a shot of whiskey. It works great too.

For a cold, rub down with VICK'S VAPO RUB and drink hot, clear beverages. Tea, Broth or herbal tea. This keeps the mucus thin and running. Take an aspirin every four hours and you will feel as well as possible. Long hot showers are helpful also.

Get well soon to whoever is sick.

The drink is a "hot toddy". "Hot tottie" is a common mispronunciation. Usher used the words to describe something that warms him up.
