I personally do not believe it is important. What IS important is that we each take one day to rest, to recover, to commune with our sense of Source and with our families. As long as we do this one day a week, then we are honoring the Sabbath, the day of rest, the day we are most holy, as we honor ourselves and our Source.

The Sabbath is, according to the Bible, "a sign between God and His people". Christ observed it on the 7th day as well, and it is the 4th Commandment, and not done away with, as the rest of the Mosiac law was.
Many, many debates over which day is the true Christian Sabbath...and most people will tell you that Sunday is the true sabbath; but each individual should prove it to themselves, straight from God's word, the Bible.
Since it is a sign between God and His people, a Christian might want to be sure which day; Saturday or Sunday. If the day was changed, why do the Jewish people still observe God's true sabbath??

side note: Hogie...that is quite the Christian attitude! If that is how God deals with us, when we ask a sincere question, no wonder some people get the wrong impression of God! You need an attitude adjsutment!

The Sabbath recognizes God as our Creator. The Sabbath(7th day Saturday) is a test of man's loyalty to God or Satan. It is a test of obedience and our love for God.

The Sabbath will be a major test in the end of time. The choice will be between the True Sabbath or Sunday Worship. Those who choose Sunday over the Sabbath will not receive the seal of God.

The Sabbath is important because God will be sealing his people before he returns.

It is not important to know the real and true sabbath day any more than it is important to know the real and true Monday.

The sabbath requirement to rest is a command found within the confines of a covenant that was between God and Israel only. For you or anyone else to insist others keep the sabbath is in itself an illegal act. You cannot enjoin the conditions of a covenant upon people who were not a party to said covenant.

Regardless, that covenant ended as all such covenants end upon the death of either participant. Read Romans 7.

Did God die in the personage of Jesus Christ? Was He not the God of the old testament?

Do Jewish Christians die to that covenant through baptism? Do I need to cite the place where it says so? Because it sure looks like you are ignorant of a great many things in Scripture.

Because one of God's commands was to keep the Sabbath Holy. The Sabbath is Saturday and it does not matter if you are Jewish or Christian like myself. Saturday is the Sabbath though it is practiced on Sunday and I think that is a deceiption that many people fall for.

I suppose if you are trying to practice Judaism, it would be vital.

However since nowhere in Scripture does it EVER ONCE ask Gentiles to follow the Sabbath Law, it is only of secondary, or tertiary importance for a Gentile.......
