In Genesis 4:17 Cain gets a wife. Genesis 5:4 says Adam had several sons and daughters; Cain married his sister.
According to Leviticus 18:9, 11, 20:17, and Deuteronomy 27:22, marrying a sister is sin, even prohibiting the marrying of a half-sister.

The harmful mutations would have been negligible enough at this point to accumulate to levels where close intermarriage would be dangerous for the offspring, but when the gene pool was about to bring harm of inbreeding, especially to closely guarded gene pool of small Jewish community, God decreed there no longer be marriage between close relatives because of the danger of inbreeding.

God is a revealing God, and as the people degenerated with sin and such, God gave further instruction for our good and for God's plan of salvation. Incest was allowed until God forbade it. Purity of the Jewish gene pool was adhered to until the Messiah came, then Jews and Gentiles could mix, all so that the prophecies could be fulfilled.

As Brian said earlier, read Leviticus. Incest is not ok with God. But we must remember that God can forgive any sin, whether it is incest or gossiping.

By the way, people often ask how did generations advance after Cain & Abel. I've got an answer... God could have created other people. Just because there is one family at the beginning does not mean that there weren't others. Just a thought.

In the bible it tells you who you cannot have incestuous relations with, but since homosexuality is a sin (according to the bible) then if you have incest with someone whether its allowed or not according to the bible then you are still commiting a sin. Most likely you will be doing 2 sins at the same time because of the incest and the homosexual acts. If you dont believe that the bible restricts who in your family you may have sex with look for yourself, not sure what book its in but someone said leviticus and that sounds about right, the book actually lists each type of family relation that you cannot do it with.

The bible does not say incest is ok - where did you get that silly idea from? The story of Lot? If you mean that story then you missed the meaning of the story. The bible is very specific as to who you can't marry and/or have sex with. The prohibition against incest is a Judeo-Christian belief from the bible anyway (although other belief systems have it as well).

If you take your question at face value, then no it is not okay.

If the bible said that all politicians should be imprisoned, I'm sure some idiot out in the world would try to do that.

The one thing that people need to remember is that the bible we know and love today is written by men. If you were able to determine what portion of the bible came directly from God, you'd find that it would only be as thick as a pamphlet....THAT portion is what we should all follow....not the writings of men.

Of course, by nature, mankind is not very bright - given the fact that Jesus had to explain every little thing by using parables. If people would only follow their hearts, they woudl be following God. Simple words, but hard to do. Am I wrong?

No where in the bible dones it condone incest. I don't know what bible you are reading but no either way it is not condoned.

For someone who doesn't believe and thinks this is correct how are you so much more knowldeable to claim I have a fake bible. Incest is not supported in the bible anymore than homosexuality, or premarital sex. Prehapes you should join some classes.

Where incest reigns you find the Dragon bloodline. They are the bane of the world. They are what is wrong with our world. They have control over every aspect of our lives and they really p!ss me off. The right of kingship was handed down to them by "god" their original king on high. They speak out of both sides of their mouths. They are the true serpents. You err - incest is a violation of the law of God. At the time right after the fall of Adam into sin (remember God created everything good), there were no genetic mistakes and no fear of passing on genetic errors, thus it was allowed. Later on in history, as genetic errors increased God disallowed siblings to marry (Leviticus 18–20).

Edited: In Genesis 1:31"And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good." In Romans 5:12 we are told when sin entered the world then there was disease and death. Therefore since man was created to live forever and was created perfectly good, it is logic to conclude that man did not have genetic mutations at creation.

Edited to answer question: I would say that mutations is the reason that God does not allow incest - please submit what is your moral bases to disallow incest?

Any man who abuses his children is most definitely very sick and deserves to have his balls cut off. As for homosexuality, that is more of a choice between consenting adults and from there that's a personal matter. (Hey, even some priests do it).

he create, one woman, one man in the begining, Adam then
Eve? Why not two women-Two men.
