parmesan is a hard cheese and mozzerella is a soft cheese meant for melting...parmesan is meant to add flavor to the food i use both on my pizza and both on my baked pasta..although sometimes i prefer provolone over the mozzerella.........hell i usually use all three!!!!
8 oz penne pasta
1pound ground beef
1 jar of your favorite pasta sauce
1 pkg brown gravy mix
1/2 cup water
1/2cup cream
2 tsp italian seasoning
4 tbsp parm
fresh mozzerella
cook your pasta per directions..drain....brown your ground beef...drain...add pasta sauce and bring to a boil....
add your gravy mix and water and cream...sprinkle on your italian seasoning and stir..simmer for about 5 minutes...add 2 tbsp parmesan and stir.....add pasta to sauce and poor into casserole thats been greased with olive oil or pam or butter...cover the top of the casserole with as much mozzerella as you like...i usually use about 2 cups...sprinkle with remaining parmesan...cover with foil....put into a 350 oven for 15 minutes..remove foil and return for 5 more..let sit for about 5-10 minutes...enjoy with italian bread and a nice wine!

pamesan is hard and has to be greated, it's usually used on pasta. mozerella is moist and flavourless before it's cooked, but it is used on pizza and goes long and stretchy.
