Alright my girlfriend practices New Age - She's a white witch. Why won't my mom allow her to stay in her house when we visit her? I really don't understand. She wants me to break up with her and date any girl from any other religion but not a new age girl. She keeps on telling me I am mixing with demons? Do they really use magic and use spells that work? Are new age girls really bad news?

Why won't Jehovah's witnesses be a little bit friendly to people that practice new age?

Jehovah's Witnesses believe that demons are very real and can do you harm if you allow them. Your mom may feel that if your girlfriend stays in her house some demons may stay in her house even after you leave. Maybe you could have your mom explain her views.
Ask her to be specific about her concerns and then explain how you feel about this girl and where your relationship is going. By some calm and open discussion maybe you can work this out. Or not. But at least try to understand each others concerns.

Jehovah's Witnesses have long understood that all of false religion is unacceptable to God, and has been judged as a whole. However, Jehovah's Witnesses also acknowledge the important role that Christendom played for centuries in protecting the bible and keeping respect for it alive (see Matthew 13:47-49).

By contrast, other religious traditions have not even pretended a tenuous connection with true worship. It does not seem unfounded to opine that nearly the opposite of the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses (which unhesitatingly acknowledges Jehovah by name as its protector) is Occultism which unhesitatingly acknowledges overtly Satanic influences on its beliefs and adherents.

When an adherent of Wiccanism or Animism embraces the occult, he must understand that he thus also rejects God and Christ. Sadly, most Wiccans and Animists seem to freely acknowledge and even celebrate that fact.

First, your mom is the one to ask these questions to. Second, we Witnesses, as Christians strive to be polite to all.
Third, whether one believes these spells, etc. work, the Bible is VERY clear on how Jehovah feels about Magic.

If you were raised by a mother who is a Jehovah's Witness I am really surprised you don't understand why your mother would have a problem with your girlfriend's beliefs. You should be pretty indoctrinated in the JW's ways yourself. Were you not paying attention to your religious education while you were growing up? Sounds like you just made this question up.

Good Luck!!!

Your Mom wants the best for you. And the best thing for you in your life is to serve Jehovah, to have a close relationship with him. How would Jesus respond to your new age girlfriend. No doubt he would reason from the scriptures. The Bible says to marry only in the Lord. We are wise to marry true believers only.

She's "Jehovah's" witness. They don't like anyone different.

Okay that was generalizing but that's how I see it.
