Both sinned, but the first was Eve. To think on sin is sin, and it was her that was wanting to disobey, and she did Now Adam went along with it too and so they both sinned. but ppl are correct that say, since Adam was to be the head of the household, it was up to him to tell her NO Man is to be the protector in the home relationship with God, thats why God makes him head. NOt like in bossing, but in guiding and protecting and being sure they home is always about obeying God . Bible says in so many ways that the man is responsible for his wife, thats why he is head. Woman is not responsbile for her husband, but she is responsible for her own relationshp with God. So Adam sinned twice, by disobeying with the apple and then by not saying no to sin and protecting his wife.
Sin is sin, even thinking about it is sin. To committ adultry is sin, to think about it and want it is sin also.
Sin leads to curse. disobedience to God always brings curse, serious consequences.
Obedience leads to blessing. and if we expect to be in the full blessings of God, we will be in perfect obedience just as Jesus was to the father.
By the way, I get so tired of hearing all these on here that hate christians and mock us. I dont care what they think, but I just really hate it when they talk about the Bible and dont know it. They say that God didnt want us to know knowledge thats why it wwould be sin to eat of that tree. NO,
God didnt want them to know sin , as they were in perfection of love and peace and joy. they had it all.
God tells us we will seek HIs knowledge til lJEsus comes. Tongues and knowledge, and wisdom wont end till Jesus comes. They had a perfect life in the garden, and would have continued too, till they heard of sin and disobeyed. Still that way today, when we sin, we are cursed.
This exaple of the garden, is also to show us that. Yet so few christians today will even heard the word of OBEDIENCE without cringing and rebelliing. BEing a christian means being a follower of JEsus Christ. Just saying you believe doesnt cut it, even the devil believes.
Come on folks, God gives a great last day call to obeidnece, purity and holiness and the only way we can do that, is by the shed blood of Jesus shed for us on that cross. Jesus came that we may live and that we may live life abuntantly, free from sin, not FREE TO SIN. WASNT THE RESPONSE TO THAT>... ??????????????????? GOD FORBID. The origianl sin is disobedience and it brought curse.
disobedience does the same today folks, whether its easy to hear that o rnot. Before JEsus comes, we are to know and teach this truth again. Grace will not cover deliberate, willful, continued rebellious sin.

If you say that adam and eve could partake of the fruit of the tree of life at the same time they partook of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, and the choice to do so was sin, then adam and eve would have lived forever in their sins. If you suggest that adam and eve did not partake of the fruit of the tree of life before god blocked its way with a destroying angel, then you are putting into scripture that isn't there. God would never have allowed adam or eve to partake of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil if that action was a sin. It was a transgression not a sin. A transgression is general occurrence of a law or an expectation being denied. A sin is the willful denial of one who knows good from evil against a law or an expectation (see James 4:17)
NEITHER ADAM NOR EVE SINNED, for neither knew the good from the evil of their action until after they did it. That's why the Tree of Life was not blocked until after they learned they were naked.

hey! great question. this comparable question is what I actually take into consideration for greater or less 3 days now. I advise, what I additionally take into consideration is that, guy is obviously sinful.. How could desire to they fall into temptation even although they have not even ate the fruit from the tree of wisdom? elementary, as you and that i take into consideration, God did not extremely made the main suited guy of all. If Adam and Eve have been suited, they could desire to have purely rejected the temptation. So there replaced into already sin in this worldwide even beforehand the 1st sin replaced into born.

Eve took the first bite, but Adam stood by and did nothing. To me, both equally sinned at the same time.

Of course he told Eve.. one way or another. Personally, I believe Adam told her everything he knew when she came into existence. I believe she knew she was sinning when she took of that fruit.. but she really didn't think God would punish her, and she had to learn the hard way.

Who actually sinned first Adam or Eve? Wrong premise. Satan sinned first.
Secondly, you imply Eve was not informed about the prohibition regarding the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, but Eve's answer to the serpent proves she was aware.

Moses: by adding surely die lie(law) to grace: Gen 2:17.
Only the law imputes sin: Romans 4:15; Romans 5:13.
Law also imputes death: 1Corinthians 15:56; James 1:15.
Pst: male and female them both called "Adam": Gen 5.
Pst: "Adam" was not deceived: 1Timothy 2:14... But
The woman, being deceived, was in the transgression.
Pst: Where no law, there no transgression: Romans 4:15.
So allegory is: the woman, being deceived, was in the law.
The "woman" is "allegory" for "churches".
The woman first said dble "Amen, amen",
and notably to being blessed and cursed,
ends accursed, and notably by her priest.
What the Spirit saith "unto the churches" x 7,
is in Galatains: is written "unto the churches".
The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

Okay. Since you asked a Biblical question I'll let an Apostle answer:
1 Tim 2:14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. ~KJV

God never told Eve. But Adam told her. Eve didn't listen to him, gave into Satan's temptation of sin, and sinned first.

You are forgetting the most important part. Adam was alone. Eve is from Adam's rib. Remember now?
Adam was told. He was the man. It was up to him to obey.
