Sounds like a trapped nerve. Could be in your neck. Any neck pain through the day? Try changing your pillows, either add one or take one away. Apparantly your neck shouldn't be bent when you sleep. Does that make sense? I know what I mean.

try sleeping lying on your left side, and be careful at any time when sitting on a kitchen chair that you don't allow your arm to hang over the chair back with the wooden back pressed firmly into your armpit.
I have a recollection this is called Saturday night arm, and was caused by people who had partaken of strong liquor and were sitting like this and then fell asleep. If you give it a try you will find it is a most comforatable way of sitting but with dire results..... Don't do it...

Sound like you have some type of nerve entrapment. I have had this before. My doctor said it sometimes caused by the way we sleep with our hand flexed during the night. He had me purchase a hand brace at Wal-mart for sleep and my symptoms resolved. Maybe you should think about that.

It's probably Carpal Tunnel. A pinched nerve in your wrist. Go see your Doctor. They will try to fix it with a splint first. If that doesn't work they will operate. I had it & it drove me crazy at night. I would wake up off & on during the night shaking my arm trying to wake it up. In the end I had the operation & the problem was fixed.

It sounds as if you are lying on this arm and cutting off the circulation to your hand. Try sleeping on the other side. if this gets worse see your doc - you could have a condition where the nerve is getting compressed.

Ask your doctor about an exercise routine. Regular exercise, such as walking three times a week, may reduce neuropathy pain, improve your muscle strength and help control blood sugar levels. Gentle routines such as yoga and tai chi might also help.

This could also be because you are trapping the blood circulation in the way that you lie. this is just a suggestion as i get this very occasionally when i sleep on my arm.

hope this helps

It sounds like cramp, or a trapped nerve. You could be lying awkwardly in your sleep. If it persists see a doctor .

sounds to me your sleeping on her arm in a weird position and your arm is falling asleep.

you arm "falling asleep" is due to lack of blood reaching that area.. evaluate how you sleep
