For that 'C' word...it means that you do not feel guilty about anything, though that doesn't mean you haven't done anything.

Mathew verse: The dude is a mind-reader or something, and he wanted to know why they put up a facade of goodness, when they have bad thoughts.

Romans: Don't take revenge, but bend over backward for everybody. (even though revenge is the root cause of Justice..funny isn't it?)

Romans 12:17 KJV
Recompense (repay) to no man evil for evil,
Provide things honest in the sight of all men.

(If someone is mean to you don't be mean back
Only think of the good things and show goodness to men)

Matthew 9:4 KJV
And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, wherefore think you evil in yours heart?

(Jesus was saying that He was God and He had the power to forgive sins on this earth. Jesus knew their hearts that they were thinking evil of Him)

1 Corinthians 4:4 KJV
For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified:
but he that judges me is the Lord.

(Sometimes we just need to ask the Holy Spirit to remove what needs to be removed in us. Of course, that is what the Holy Spirit does for us any way. The Holy Spirit purifies and refines us to have us ready to meet the Lord)
