Concerning the origination of the Bible:

It was a roomfull of chain-smoking Catholic perverts that decided what was to be included in the Bible and what wasn't.

Why do I never hear a peep out of Protestants?

(Or, if there was a peep out of them and I missed it, tell me what became of it.)

Excuse me, but Protestantism EXISTS because in a major part because the Catholic Bible was in Latin and many people wanted to get it printed in the languages of the various countries. Since that time there have been dozens of Protestant Bibles (King James, New Revised, Modern, etc.) In other words, you are hundreds of years too late and need to go way back in history to find the peeps.
