I would examine the following root causes of headaches...
is your spinal column aligned properly (chiropracter)
are your muscles too tense (massage therapist)
are you reacting to something you are eating (a friend of mine was allergic to the dye in nacho cheese doritis ...causing migraines...personally if I eat anything with msg I get a headsache)
sometimes an extended water only fast will eliminate toxins from the body that cause headaches
and finally if there is a root like unforgiveness, fear, anxiety or stress seek counsel and you will find freedom from headaches
or you can continue to mask the pain with drugs such as 222's or tylenol 3 with codeine

I found Paracetamol ineffective after having Virol Menigitis ; but have always found Ibuprofen , Neurophen clears a headache .
I wonder whether you have been taking these remedies for a long time ? It is dangerous to do so and after a while you become immune to there effectiveness .
My advice is to see your doctor ; try to find out Why you are continuously suffering from headaches . You should look to resolving the cause , rather than seeking new analgesics , which may be harmful to your health .
Sometimes taking a lot of medicines will have that effect .
Headaches are not just simply headaches , they have causes ; such as problems relating to eyesight , spending too long at the computer , stomach problems menstrual problems , back problems and many more reasons . Think about it , when you see the doctor , speak out , don't sit there silent waiting for a new prescription .

Many of the responders to this question have recommended medications which, while good for pain management, have no use in the control of headaches.

Headaches are complex problems and there is no easy solution.

It is best to find out the source/cause of your recurrent or chronic headaches.

First, if this is the worst headache of your life or could be considered a thunderclap headache, or if you have a headache and neck rigidity (not stiffness) and or back pain, seek urgent medical care.

Otherwise, first try the simple solutions first paracetamol/acetaminophen/Tylenol or aspirin (I prefer Excedrin personally) go to a darkened quiet room and lie down. Avoid bright lights and prolonged computer use.

If you are having recurrent or chronic headaches you need to see a health care provider. They can pick the proper abortive medication for the acute headache and possibly prescribe a preventive medication if your headaches are too frequent.

If you feel you need to see a doctor, go to the following site prior to your visit:

www.headaches.org

In the consumer area, see the educational resources tab.

Print and fill out the headache diary as shown.

See the How to talk to your headache doctor page.

I also recommend the pages on analgesic rebound, and diet.

Do not take Imitrex or any one else’s migraine medication without a health care provider’s approval.

I have seen patients with severe hypertensive crisis bordering stroke and cardiac problems due to taking a medication which was inappropriate for them. Also there are some types of migraine which are not recommended for the new migraine wonder drugs, ie. Hemiplegic and basilar artery migraines.

There are many non medication methods which are beneficial also, such as biofeedback, and acupuncture.

Seek the assistance of your primary care clinic and if no improvement a specialist in headaches.

As a fellow migraine sufferer, I wish you the best.

Medications used for pain such as cocodamol etc can result in alagesic rebound headaches. The result of this is you end up with a worse headache after the drug wears off, each time you take the drug the headache can increase in severity to a point where morpine and methadone no longer control the headaches and they become almost constant.

Please avoid taking pain meds not precribed for you.

I have worked with headache patients for years and found that the appropriate medications always work best. And the most appropriate medications for most headaches are only available through prescription.

How often do you get headaches and how long to they last? What age were you when the headaches began? Are they getting more frequent. Do you ever get an aura? Do your headaches ever appear to be cyclic or occur in clusters? Have you been investigated in any way? Has anyone suggested a migraine diagnosis, which of course should result in the use of a migraine specific drug?

Sorry but a good physician might take 10-15 minutes just taking a headache history, even before he stands up to perform a neurological examination and check obvious things like blood pressure. he then might want blood tests or brain scanning before contemplating appropriate management.

There are several methods to improve quickly and naturally eye sight.
To know how to do that you can find here a complete method based on researches done by some scientist, for a cheap price ( http://getyourvisionbacknow.keysolve.net )

I can give you just some tips but I suggest to give a look to the method that i posted above, for example you can take more food that contains vitamin A such as carrots may help to naturally improve your eye sight.
We can also always do exercises. There are exercises such as rolling your eyeball to form an invisible square that are always recommended by the doctors to improve one's eyesight.
I don't know about quickly as there is no fast way to reach one's goal.

Vegetarians can help to improve one's eye sight. I believe it because I am a vegetarian and my eye short-sightedness power remains the same without any increase after about 2 years.
The doctor was shocked because teenagers at my years will usually have a most increase since we are always watching TV, playing computers and also reading.
I do not know whether it is totally true or not but it does affect a bit on the result.

Have you seen your doc about checking out for migraines. If this is the case, they will be able to prescribe migraine tablets. Also, if they are fairly regular, get your blood pressure checked. Ask your gp for Co-codamol, i find them great. Also, try asking your pharmasist, as there are stronger-than-paracetamol painkillers you can try after buying over the counter. Another thing to try with headaches is steam inhalations, breathing it is deeply, this forces you to relax your neck and back muscles, which could be causing stress/tension headaches. I find that burning lavendar oil is another headache reliever that works for me.

Could be migraines not normal headaches, paracetamol won't work on a migraine headache. See a doctor, there are lots of good migraine treatments now that really work. If you really don't want to see a doctor ask the pharmacist about migraine treatments over the counter.

There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, WORRY, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation;
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment. I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.
Avoid late sleeping if possible; WORRY, spicy food, sour fruits, stale bakery foods and alcohole.
Sweet foods, sweet fruits, cocoanut water, salads, milk, rice and good sleep will help you. You will have to note down what suits and what not.
But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it isvery strong.
If it is acute pl search a painful point 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.

These are the basic levels of pain relief available over the counter. If these are ineffective you really need to see your GP and possibly have investigations into your headaches. Do you take any unprescribed or recreational medications/drugs as they will affect the efficacy of painkillers.

Good luck xx

You can take Paracetamol and Ibuprofen together (just in case you don't know!). I really suffer with headaches, Anadin Extra is OK - sometimes, nothing will touch it.
