Jehovah Witnesses are Christians (so I comprehend, and that i'm not a Jehovah Witness). they suspect in being saved by using Christ. it must be actual they produce different ideals that are complicated to comprehend (and could not make logical experience - I studied with them for a on an identical time as), yet they're solid people who learn the Bible and understand mankind.

Jehovah's Witnesses accept Jesus Christ as God's only begotten son and the appointed King of God's Kingdom. His Father, Jehovah, is creator of the heavens and the earth. They follow the form of Christianity that Jesus instituted in the 1st century. Jesus said "They are no part of the world, just as I am no part of the world". (John 17:16) As a result, this position of Christian neutrality was not one that the world in general would understand. Their neutrality was put to a test during WWII in Germany. JW's were sent to concentration camps for refusing to heil Hitler and or kill their fellow man. In every country on earth, JW's held to the same position of Chritian neutrality. Christendom, on the other hand, has a history of heavy political involvement being very much a "part of the world". JW's do not celebrate holidays and celebrations that are linked with pagan gods such as Easter, New Year's, May Day, Mother's day or Christmas. Like the early Christians, they do not even celebrate birthdays. They also respecfully refrain from sharing in national holidays. Why? Because they are no part of the world. 1st Century Christians abstained from sharing in anything tained by pagan gods and were greatly misunderstood by the Roman culture. According the the historian Tacitus, Christians were said to be haters of mankind because of their refusal to participate in their celebrations, much the same as Jehovah's Witnesses are today. Regarding them, the Bible says, at Acts 28:22 "for truly as regards this sect it is known to us that everywhere it is spoken against."

Jehova Witnesses named God "Jehova."

Mainstream Christians accept Jesus Christ as God, not a separate being like JW. The body which God inhabits, his avatar, is called the "Son of God, " or "The Word." as all humans are children of God.

Hope this helps.

In a nutshell, Christianity is about following Christ and the Kingdom of God. Jehova's Witnesses are about following the guidelines of Watchtower and elders of the local Kingdom Hall.

Hi Stacey, The Watchtower Society that runs the Jehovah's Witnesses does not acknowledge Jesus to be the Son of God.
They refer to Him as a god, not God.
The Watchtower Society has produced its own version of the Bible and has distorted some of the translation to support their theology.
The Kingdom Interlinear Translation of the Greek Scriptures John 1:1 is translated as "In [the] beginning the Word was, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god."
The Greek word Deos is a proper noun in the Greek text but has been transalted as an ordinary noun by the Watchtower Society. Yet in John 3:16 the same word in the Greek is translated as a proper noun, God! Such is the inconsistency of the translation.
Also the Watchtower Society does not acknowledge The Trinity of the Godhead a key teaching in Christianity.
I hope that this has been of some help to you.
God Bless,
H'chat.

Jehovah Witness's say Jesus was archangel Michael not God and say Jesus died on a stake rather then a cross which are both wrong, there Bible is translated to replace the word Lord with Jehovah where it is reversed in all other Bibles. There is a timeline in the Bible from Jesus on the cross from 0900 until 3 pm which proves he was pierced through the hands not the wrists in which case he would have bled out with in an hour. Torture stake victims are always nailed through the wrists to hold the wieght of the body. There beliefs are not bad ones but they are mistaken.

Jehova's Witnesses believe that their group, their organization, is the physical presence of Jesus Christ on earth an that they will somehow, someday, rule the world as a type of theocratic kingdom.
They believe that in the world, in their reign, all will be blissfull and peaceful.
In other words, they are Utopians. They have their origin in the 1800s Utopian movement, actually.
In other words, they are cultists...believing that only your special group has the power or the knowledge or the insight or the whatever is one of the essences of cult thinking.
