Do older women like younger men or would you consider dating one?

Okay I really like this girl, she is 21 and im 19 ( I do look like im about 23) but anyways, I get to talk to her at work sometimes and we always have great conversations and laugh and all and I know she thinks im a really nice guy and I really want to ask her out but I cant get the nerve to no matter how hard I try, Im not scared to be rejected its just that if I ask her and she says no because of the age, it will make things weird between us. The question is is the age thing a problem for girls? even though its only 2 years, it just seems like women only like older guys. what should I do? and also for you ladies what is the age you prefer compared to your own age?

It depends on so many factors. To me the main thing is the maturity level a guy is. I've met men who are immature at 50 and guys who are totally mature at 25. When I was 18, I liked older guys, and married a guy 4 years older. When I was in my 30's and divorced, it seemed like all the guys that approached me were 3 to15 years younger than I was. I dated some of them and we got along great. Two years is not a big difference when you're 20ish. I say go for it, but be confident, yet not pushy, when you ask her out. If she says no, just keep being friendly to her so she knows you accept that she's not ready to date you and the awkwardness should go away. Oh--for the last part of your question--I'd say I prefer guys a little younger. Good luck!!!!

I've always liked younger men! Am seeing one now, he's... & I'm... (not gonna tell our age but will say he is 30 yrs younger but we are both adults, so don't go thinking he's a child :-)!) Age (to me) is just a number, well as long as one is "of age"! Have you ever asked her what her opinion is of younger guys? How she feels about dating a guy that is younger than her? If you don't want to ask her yourself maybe someone you work with could ask her how she feels about age!
Some women like older men while others like younger. Just depends on who you are...

Age is only a number....it has no relevance whatsoever. Just take a deep breath and go ask her out.....she obviously thinks you are mature enough if the two of you have great coversations together. The worst she can say is "no", but I get the feeling that wont be the case. Maybe start out with asking her out for a lunchtime coffee, then see where it goes. Good luck.

2 years is nothing. She may think that 19 is too young in general but in a year when you are 20 and she is 22, it won't matter at all. Go ahead and ask her out.
I tend to date younger men because I look younger than I am. I've learned to take each person on his own merits.

I know alot of woman that date and are married to younger men. If you have alot in common and enjoy each others company, then go ahead and ask her out. Remember when someone is 21 and can go to bars, its hard to date someone that can't go to some of places she can go to now. That's the only problem I see ahead of you.
