If you really want to do it, then go for it. Unless you are one of those really annoying people who start things and never finishes them. It would just be a waste of your time and money and your tutor's time. I have a friend who moans constantly about her life, then starts to do something to change it and never finishes it. She had about 20 driving lessons, passed her theory test then gave up. She started Uni and lasted one semester. She started an Open Uni course and lasted less than a month, then she will moan to me about how she hates her job and her life, as if she had no power to make things better!

Last year I was a part-time student, I also worked part-time and I've got 4 kids! I'm leaving my job at the end of the week to go to Uni full-time, as I'm getting really good marks and it's something I have always wanted to do and I love it!

If it's something you really enjoy and think you would get a lot out of it, then do it! It's always better to regret something you did, rather than something you didn't do.

Could you change your shifts at work during term-time? Or even get a job with different working hours?

Have a good think about it, maybe make a list of pros and cons, but whatever you do, enjoy it. We're here for a good time not a long time, so make the most if it.

Good luck!

Lisa, I think you have answered your own question hon, Psychology is a very dedicated and difficult profession to learn, you have no idea of the amount of prepping and post graduate courses you have to 'grind' through. The staying power is overwhelming sometimes that is why a lot of people do not last one semester! So think very carefully before you waste your time and money. Try something you really like to do with no stress attached, that's the secret! If you enjoy doing it then turn it into a job! Have a great day.

there are recognised courses online-open uni` for one!
benefits;can work at own speed and own timescale!
the end result is the same!
you will burn yourself out any other way i think!
lifes pace doesn`t allow for what we ideally want!
hope this helps!
you could also ask any of college tutors-plus state your predicament-as some have `seperate study buildings outside of normal college times-worth asking-good luck!

Do it. You will find that it will give you greater understanding of people around you, as you move through life.

Go for it! And explain to your tutor beforehand that you may be slightly late. You will find that they're understanding.
