It is available from Microsoft's Website. Go to www.microsoft.com and follow the "Downloads" link. However, I haven't installed V11 yet as it will make it very difficult for you to copy most CDs DVDs etc. as it has DRM (Digital Rights Management) software built in. If you want to copy music and films it's best to go for V9 or under. If you do chose to download V11, click on the link for it and then click "Download". When the Pop-Up Box appears, select "Save" and save it to your "Desktop". Once it finishes downloading, select "Run" and then "Accept" (to accept the license conditions). Just follow the prompts until complete. However, V11 will configure itself to be the "Default" player of the majority of media and if you use other media players, you may have to do some manual configuration. When it installed, you can move the .exe file to another location (My Documents etc.), rather than having it on your "Desktop".

The easiest way, Open:
Start|All Prograams(Programs)|Windows Media Player

If you do not find windows media player there, it will be in accessories.....

Now, in the Windows Meida Player window, Open Help|Check for updates...

first, you need to have a genuine windows operating system, if you don't have one, you can't download it legally.

next go to microsoft's website and you'll see it under the "Popular Downloads" part of the webpage; or google "microsoft windows media player 11" (without quotations) then you can follow the on screen directions there.
