my mom doesn't let me shave my legs and... at school every one can see I have hair on my legs and I told my mom and still won't let me what do i do !!?

hey im 12 also and my mom wont let me shave my legs. im getting pretty mad about it cuz i have asked her tons of times and everytime she just says no. its so anoying. my friends told me to send her an email about it so i got up the nerve and did it. my mum turned me down right away. and she actually suggusted lazer hair removal! i told her that i didnt wanna lazer it off yet cuz i didnt kno if it waz that much of a hassle to shave yet. she doesnt wan tme to cuz it grows in faster and darker. i would even just veet it off, cuz then it doesnt grow in faster or darker. all of my friends shave, and ill sit down next to one of them, and they'll be like, julia u seriously need to start shaving. ill tell em to butt out. but we laugh over it. sigh. if n-e thing works with ur mom email me at, poptart.luver1@yahoo.com thx. tell her about veet

Hey girl! =) I'm 12 too, and I have hairy legs (and arms!!). But Mom allows me to shave my legs...I guess it's not only me who hates the sight of it! My aunt even bought an expensive shaver just for moi!
Anyway, enough about that. It does get on your self-esteem, no? If your mom won't let you shave, ask her nicely if why she doesn't want you to shave your legs. If she says that it would grow to be thicker, well, it ain't true, and I'm telling you!

Do it anyway. Plastic razors are cheap as heck. Just be careful. I never asked permission and just picked up a razor and bar of soap at around age 11, and took care of things myself.
Or use veet. It's bladeless, but not as nasty as nair and more effective. And then you're not running the risk of cutting yourself and then having to run screaming to your mom while you're dripping blood.
Oh, and as for it being thicker/hairier/darker after shaving? Total urban legend. If that were true, my legs would look like my grandpa's back by now.

Well hey, I'm 12 and i shave. Last year I did it behind my mums back, bad idea.(im aloud to shave now) But if you are desperate. You could just put body lotion on your legs-that will flaten the hair on your legs. Also you can use cream that desolves your hair and than you just wash it off, than it is all gone, vola. And if you are getting teased just stand up for urself and tell people to get stufft if they are gonna be bullies...

If she is totally against you removing the hair on your legs at your age, try wearing sheer tan/light tights.
They will make the hair on your legs far less visiable and allow you to wear skirts without worrying too much.
And no one really looks at the hair on each others legs at 12 anyway :)

Hey im 12 and my mom did not let me shave with a razor so i told her that i wouldnt use a razor that i would use nair cream hair removal. so the next day we went to the store and got it and she took my hair off with that cream. I think your mom is just scared you will cut yourself but with nair cream there is no cuts or leg pimples

there is a kind of creame that i say at drugstores that dissolves the hair, it works better than shaving becuase u wont see stubbles but it would grow back.
its called nair on the cover it has a teenage girl the product is orange capped its says peachy soft somewhere on the front soo good luck !

Ask her to take you to have them waxed. Ask her to be sympathetic with your feelings on wanting hairless legs. I have heard this is better and helps the hair grow in less and less as you continue to have it done. I don't think they did waxing when I started shaving 50 years ago. I wish thery had.

good if she does not shave her legs then it's that she relatively does consider that and if she does then she does not desire you to develop up proably and good i consider you're simply going to need to spend your possess cash on that stuff and conceal it out of your mother (if you're going to shave your legs then i could advocate you shopping aloe alternatively of shaving cream cuz its inexpensive and it really works simply as well and makes your legs nonetheless think relatively delicate) well success =]

Wear trousers or tights... but if you start shaving then your hairs grow thicker and darker and they will look even more hairier. I'd be glad to not have started shaving lol :)
